You can either shine Light into someone Heart, or you can fill it with Darkness. So depending on the words that we used with one another either makes us a GOD, or makes us a DEVIL. Look at how much LIGHTTT the DeBarge Family has shined ON US.
The original has real instruments. So it brings a different emotion. Tamia voice is beautiful but the background sound is more studio on her version. The piano and the harmonica brings this song to life.
I love both Tamia and El Debarge and the Debarge family....Tamia did justice to this song...The original will always be superior becuz no one can take a song from the originator and i beleived that they both really made this song something speacial so peace and love to both Tamia and the Debarge Family......
Wow I did not know this was a remake. I think my generation may not even realize just how well they know Debarge music. But as I'm finding out I know a lot of their songs through other singers. It's a shame they don't get the credit they deserve. But they made some good music. It's a shame all the adversity that happened in all of their lives.
Both versions are fantastic. I just listened to them both back to back and they both are very well done. I'm sure DeBarge was very proud of Tamia's version.
