  • I noticed you don't have a shit stupid rant about the $700 billion "stimulus" bailout Bush handed over to Bankers with zero accountability. Unlike them with their "what money?" bullshit, the auto industry saved jobs, AND paid every dime back with interest. Your political skills are up to par with your comedic skills- A big, fat ZERO.

  • So because someone is a liberal they are not a free thinker? How closed minded of you to think so.

  • @ginad17 No, if someone is a liberal they are not a" thinker" at all.

  • Your facts are greatly exaggerated and you didn't mention the UAW once, just, small individual unions. Just a taste of the abominations that were yet to come...

  • Very well spoken about the bailout. Very thought provoking.

  • wow actually a video of yours i agree with. Thats pretty rare

  • My brother in law worked in Canada at Toyota factory. They paid great, had GREAT benefits and they were NOT unionized! And when the unions tried to force them the workers said NO!

  • @Graciethemom I work for Toyota in Canada. They pay good money because of the unions. They wanted to be comparable to other CAW automotive plants. Good pay keeps the unions away. Toyota is one of the few non union plants in Canada that pays decent money. Most non union plants are awful to work for. like LINAMAR, They pay horrible wages little benefits and outsource more and more production to third world countries despite profits being up.

  • You're mad because we made money keeping people out of poverty when we could have spent more money putting people into the gutter. And who was going to pay for that? Me, the tax payer.

  • people that disagree with me are such sheeple!

(without the auto bailout, the US would have spent far far more on unemployment. without the bailout, all of the Midwest would have turned into Detroit over night. Instead of spending 155 billion on helping unemployed autoworkers in the short term and god knows how much long term, we instead LENT (different from spending) 55 billion dollars to keep them working (the money has been paid back)).

  • Steven Chowder trying to be funny!! Hehehehe. Steven its time to suck on your own man chowder if that you can produce it! Right wing comedy, hehehehehe

  • interesting!

  • political blog lol.

  • hmmm.... toyota is on recall number what now?

  • @chad071981 Do you really think that it's a coincidence that government generated safety recalls are on cars

that are not built in union shops? You can't possibly be that thick. Remember the guy in the runaway toyota? Turned out to be a hoax! Don't be so easily led my friend.

  • @TheSkeetergirl

Thank you for pointing out cars built in non union shops are the ones careening off the road because their breaks don't work.

  • @lactosdog Sorry, everyone of those supposed "run away" Toyota stories were shown to be hoaxes.

In each incident, the cars were tested by disinterested labs, and shown to be free of defects. You'll have

to try harder to win an arguement for unions. I'll give you a 9 out of a possible 10 for "cuteness" though.

  • The one point you didn't mention is how badly the American economy would suffer from a diminished auto industry. (3.64% of GDP) Also I don't think anyone is offended by Merry Christmas.

But saying Kwaanza isn't a "real holiday" forces me to remind you that Christmas is the celebration of the birth of an imaginary baby who went on to become a deity after turning into a zombie. Whereas Kwaanza is a celebration of African Heritage (which is more relevent to the USA than Jewish Heritage).

  • My college professors haven't shared a single drop of any political opinions or bias to me. And that's coming from a libby lib state xD

  • @MinGophers I doubt that. Very rarely do you get truly inbias proffessors. They hide it in the way they teach.

  • @gat0rbball Well I truly don't see it then. :\

  • Ford didnt need that bail out money I guess that is saying something about Ford

  • @TATERxSALAD44 false.

  • @rigatony019 oh realy how

  • @TATERxSALAD44 well you only said one thing... so try to answer that yourself....

    ford.took.bail.out.mon.ey.durr.

  • Good point bout American cars sucking. I've owned both a Chevy Cavalier (2000) and a Chevy Cobalt (2006) Both have had more problems and costlier repairs than I EVER had in my 85 Toyota Pickup or my 87 Volvo 240 combined.

  • Outstanding. Too bad we were forced to keep the dinosaurs alive and stifle the smaller, smarter, efficient guys that never had a chance to grow. Have you seen some of the small company cars that may have been made? 100% carbon fiber sports car that can't be dented and is so light is uses as much gas at 60 MPH as a regular truck uses to run the air conditioning while parked? Well, enjoy the $60k Chevy volt... where is it again?

  • why did he say Leonardo de capro when talking about global warming

  • Great Video! Tariff -A special tax enforced to protect local businesses from the greed of the consumer. -Ambrose Bierce (The Devil's Dictionary 1913)

  • @devilducky9 Saw a lot of that living in Canada the last 3 years. Huge penalties (brokerage fees) for buying stuff on-line that wasn't built up there. Locals always said the reason was to protect small business, but if you have a good business you don't need to be protected right?

  • @tringalij There are two choices, either accept a reduced standard of living or deploy tariffs. You sound like you have done some investing, as an investor I have no loyalty, I don't care where it is made, JKS for example. But I am also an engineer, if I were only an engineer I would hold the position that just because people in India and China have bred in an irresponsible and unsustainable manner, that is no reason that people who have bred responsibly should be made to pay.

  • @tringalij If you run the numbers, US salaries in engineering will drop by 85%, (No nobody is going to just slash the salary, it will happen through inflation.) and the salaries in China and india will increase by 20%, so it will thoroughly suck for everyone except for investors. Of course if everyone were an investor there would be nothing to invest in and that would suck even worse.

  • Liberals love to point out that Sara Palin thought Africa was a Country but refuse to acknowledge that Obama thought there are 57 states in America. We think Obama is just as stupid as they think Sara Palin is.

  • Just a point of clarification: SUV's aren't safer.

Apart from that, spot on about the Auto industry.

  • @vapata989 Prove that SUVs aren't safer.

  • Heh. The college comment's definitely true.

My government teacher was a patronizing bitch when she found out I'm conservative.

  • well american trucks are the best. from what iv seen there are more american trucks than foreign trucks like toyoda or nissan on the road.

  • About american cars not bieng good value for money, I highly disagree.

Cadillac CTS-V outperforms, and arguably looks better than it's european rivals. While costing 40k less. Corvette ZR1 laps the nurburgring as fast as a FERRARI ENZO. While costing 10x less.

I support american cars, they have gotten ALOT better now.

But I still don't support a bailout, as it is a waste of money.

If they can't make profits due to some reason, giving the big 3 more money doesn't do shit, they will lose it

  • When forced to label myself either on the right or left, I'd have to put myself on the left, but unions are a bad fucking idea. May have been well intentioned, but they are a disaster. I'm a university student myself and I hate campus liberals. They talk with such certainty and authority but have no experience to back it up. They just fall back on the talking points and have no real understanding of what they are talking about.

  • @schadenfreudelolz22 i respect u. U may be a democrat, but ur not a part of this idiotic liberal-extremist-socialist movement. u=win!

  • ceo made 28 mill this year

  • This Guy is a DUMB ASS who probably get his facts from Faux News.

    1. This was not a Bailout!! It is a loan, they have to pay it back!

    2. Union workers do not make $70 per hour, Most of that includes, Health care INSURANCE Co$t$, worker comp INSURANCE costs, Retirement (which most people in the future will never see) etc....

    3. After Unions were created, the strongest economy and middle class was was formed in US history.

Look it up in BOOKS! Not Faux News!

  • hahahaha, so pretty much what you're saying is that all left-wing thinkers are brainwashed? excuse me but what the fuck steven, you are not funny and your arguments are pathetic. i'm not liberal on some things but what made me explore other ideas was the fact that my family has a history of reactionary nut-jobs who beat their children if they do not possess "the righteous way of thinking"...i'm sure your idea of a perfect schooling system is one that is run by the church?

  • @Sick666Morbid Aren't you just being a reactionary?

Try and understand the point he is making first THEN comment... Also, attack the arguement. Not the man.

  • @hoshnasi nope ^_^

  • American cars cost a lot? You kidding me?

They're some of the cheapest cars you can buy.

The only reason why I won't buy one, is because they're inferior to their Japanese counter parts in both reliability and looks (IMO anyway)... and in the case of the GTR, speed.

    Nissan GTR > Chevy Corvette

    Honda Civic > Chevy Cobalt

    Subaru Imprezza > Ford Focus

  • @smartbomb33 NissanGTR<corvette zr1,and the zr1 is actuly in the six figure rang with you

Honda Civic<Chevy Cobalt SS supercharged, same ballpark;although 180from N/A is cool

Subaru Impreza... you win this one although AWD turbo compared to an economy car is like comparing lamborghini to kia or dawoo

  • @ericpdav

    I completely disagree. lol. Thanks.

  • Overcome this UNCONSTITUTIONALl Health Care Reform.

Do what God requires, Fear Not; trust God, not man. Your family and neighbors will save mega dollars not buying insurance, and have money to help if needed. Insurance companies have become rich because we feared catastrophic disease.Defeat various insurance plans. Most things only require diet, herbs, rest, home care or limited doctors office. Fear is enemy of faith. We are saved by faith. Insurance disconnects our faith.

    TRUST GOD

  • @MarieDevine LOL

Yes. Do not vaccinate your children, because God wants their necks to swell and suffocate their 5-year-old ass. God wants them to suffer horrendous infections that could result in a limb dying.

Surely, a FEELING will protect your health! Don't trust doctors, because they take your delusion and shove it up your ass... Even though they spent YEARS and THOUSANDS of dollars on learning how to save your bitch ass life.

God will not save you. But you don't care, you have faith.LOL

  • Corporate greed, Union greed and government over regulation are to blame for the down fall of our industrially complex in this country. What saved our butts and the rest of the world for that matter from Hitler and Japan in 1940s was our industrially strength. We make hardly anything in this country any more but we sure by a lot of crap from over seas. God help us if and I sure hope it will not happen if another world war ever breaks out.

  • Communist Death Care is upon You! Your Children! and your Parents! Buwahahahaha!!

Bow down to Pelosi, Reid and Soetoro you maggots!!

Progressives are Democrat Socialists are Communists are left-wing radicals are anti-capitalists are unamerican and the enemy of man!

    SOETORO = FAIL

    {Dub-Dub-Dub} CommieBlaster {dot} Com = the antidote

  • i love ur mom and ur vids

  • The voting analogy was perfect...keep it up!

  • Thanks Steven!

I lived under socialists, communists and capitalist and I DID study history. Besides, I'm political refugee.

I wish that Americans would not be so naive and so little knowledgeable about the truth. Your freedom is vanishing, people. Stand up! Or soon all the good would become a memory! THINK! Don't let those who are after your freedom & their power to tell you what to think. I assure you that using your brain is really natural think to do, its smoothness is actually dangerous.

  • you sir, are a genius

  • At least Obama wasn't a naieve fool that gave money to corporations and expected they'd do the right thing.

Though that "free thinker" comment... That's Conservatives. Need proof? The NRA's threat to Republicans that supported Sotomayor. They all went lock-step in line. Free thinkers my ass.

Oh, did you know Christmas was a Pagan holiday dressed up with a dash of Jesus? That's right, Jesus wasn't born on December 25, nor was the census in dead winter. :)

  • I think the big problem with the American auto industry is that the quality of their cars 20 years ago created a stigma in the minds of American car buyers. I personally have seen nothing less than fantastic quality from all the American cars I've owned for the past 8 years. I had a 2002 Chevy Malibu, V6, that would get 36 mpg consistently on the freeway with the air conditioning on. My friend's Honda Civic would get 35 without AC, 30 WITH AC. No mechanical problems either.

  • Obama thinks that the reason that gm and chrysler are paying back the bailouts faster is cause it helped but in reality its cause they cant handle him owning thier business a;though i guess that gm dosent have a choise huh obamas plan didnt work

  • Ford was the only one of the Big Three who realized they needed to get their act together. They didn't ask for a bail out. Now, I bought stock in Ford and their stock values go up and I am seeing more blue ovals on the road than before.

  • @FenrirLupus omg ur right!!!!

    hahaha great =p

  • it is not to much to ask to make money on a rate that rises with inflation remember that not every where is cheep to live, for instance a house that costs 200k in Texas of the same make here in my home state of Washington would cost near a million dollars in almost any location, you might say well you can live in the boons of your state but the land cost and the travel, and all the tax would more than make up for living so far out. you also might look into cost of living in say Vegas

  • You gave a per hour figure but what % of the cost for the American-made big 3 cars is designated for assembly-line workers? And BTW I wonder how the lives of Tennesee workers making $40/HR compare with the ones in Michigan making $70/HR? Should there be this race to the bottom in terms of lower salaries and benefits?

    /HR -

  • You see, here in Tennessee, $40/hr is a very nice income. Tennessee has no state income tax, low cost of living, cheap utility rates and other economic factors that makes a dollar go farther. Also, Tennessee, being a "RED State" has very little need for "government help" from well-meaning-left-of-center dilettants who help us po' helpless white folk make due with all those crazy things like bok-lurnen and shit. Michigan can keep its unemployment, we'll keep the cash.

  • The idea is not to drop to the bottom but to produce better cars at lower costs, now there are other ways to do so other than just ditching the per hour pay rate of the American Worker.

The first i would say is to ditch the Bureaucrat who takes a nice big fat cut of what comes off the line in order to vote in favor of those manufactures or in other words a pay off now these pay offs were not the idea of the Manufacturer but by the Bureaucrat/s I see them as the Mobsters of Washington D.C.

  • Your Obama impression's hilarious.

  • Great video, comments are spot on!

  • I've been an employer and I've worked in a union shop. The truth is modern unions are poison for business. I would close the doors if I had to employ union workers (nothing against the workers themselves).

  • @1965ace I totally agree, especially about not having anything against the workers themselves. I too am a business owner. I think it is funny all the fuss over these "anti-union" bills, when most of them are basically trying to make right to work states. Funny thing about unions is every single one of my friends and family who is or used to be part of a union (except for 1 guy) couldn't stand the fact they were in a union.

  • @v12tommy Free market limits unions because competition dictates profitability and unions lower profitability.

  • @1965ace My dad used to work for the aerospace industry and in order to get government contracts, they had to have a union. He couldn't stand it and eventually went to a non-union job, but I think it is funny that we are always complaining how much tax money we spend on NASA as well as the military. I wonder how much we would save by allowing non union companies to bid for contracts to build fighter jets and space components. I bet it would be a ton.

  • @v12tommy The key is efficiency and union employees have a disconnect because their income/ benefits are less connected to the companies bottom line.

  • @1965ace Of course you would say that because you are the employer. Unions are bad for the employers and good for the employees. Go get a non-union job and see how many benefits you get.

  • @xxdiogenescynicxx Unions are not employers and benefits don't come from unions. We need industry, exportation and energy production and this government is unfriendly to those things.

  • "Global warming, polar bears, Leonardo DiCaprio..." hahahahahaha!

  • Steven, i do appreciate your speaking your opinion, but i have to disagree with u on this one. i am a auto tech. i have been working on cars for 10 years now and what i see is this, all cars break but American cars r cheaper, and easier to fix. the left wing media that hates this country for some reason only reports the bad about American cars and only the good about imports. if u want "the most bang for ur buck" buy American.

  • Made about a year ago and yet still as relevant as ever! Thanks for speaking out!

  • Very nicely put on the whole car dealer situation. We don't have a free market right now where our "vote" on which products rock and which of them suck actually matters because, like you said, the government has taken away the FREE part of our market with regulations and more recently, these bailouts.

  • Happy Kwanza! LOL jk jk

  • OMG hes brilliant and HOT!!!!!

  • Omigosh, you are so cool. lol.

  • Once again, the Crowder logic is not to be trifled with. How can anyone argue with truth and common sense? I don't know...but some imbecile will, I assure you. Thanks for the vid, man. 5 starz. I'm already subscibed.

  • Lets stop buying things from foriegn bottom feeders, and start getting , JEEP , CHEVY, DODGE, CHRYSLER, AMERICAN CARS.

  • The saddest part is your "American" made car is probably less American then most "foreign" cars. Japanese auto makers in particular are producing well over 70% of their cars that are sold in America in America. They are also buying parts locally whenever possible to keep costs low. Mazda even has American engines in most of their cars. While "American" auto makers are sending as many factories as they can to Mexico and Canada. O and of course buying as many Chinese parts as they can ship in.

  • i will start buying them as soon as they stop deassembling themselves 3 weeks after you drive it off the lot. use to own them but now i will stick with my '87 honda accord that gets the same MPG as new american vehicles and still runs like new not like my dodge truck( only part that is good in that is Cummins) it falls apart if you look at it wrong............

  • As far as trucks go American trucks are lightyears ahead of the foriegn trucks. First of all Honda's "truck' is compact and really is not a pickup at all, it's more like an el camino. And for toyota they only have a half ton pickup "not heavy duty pickup" and when compared to american half ton pickups the toyota tundra is junk. On the toyota truck the frame isn't even connected from the cab to the bed. I could go on and on about trucks but I won't do some research and you will not want a tundra.

  • You um.. know there are NO American trucks right? There are no foreign ones either. They source parts and entire engines from each other all the time, and have for MANY years. Nothing is foreign or domestic anymore.

  • I'm afraid I don't know what you're getting at. Yes, I do know that they source parts from each other but that really doesn't have anything to do with what is really a better vehicle.

  • Meaning the ONLY reason that the Tundra was a less than stellar work truck ( and it WASN'T a bad vehicle mind you ) was that the company knew that it would see the most sales elsewhere in the world, and did not make it to compete in the American market. You said compared to American pickups, when in fact, NONE of them are completely built here, nor are they designed here entirely. Your comparison is not apt. Like comparing a Camry to a, S-Class. Both are cars, but one is purpose built.

  • I don't totally agree with American made vehicles being of less quality than foriegn vehicles. Quality of American made cars has has decreased because they are trying to produce them faster with cheaper plastic parts.

  • i think we shoulda let the banks go not the auto.ok my granddad retired from gm so my opinon may seem bias but when he worked there no one made that much idk he started of at like too something retired 99 i think and the highest paid was like 27 but the work sucks. Banks make a lot more and they dont share with there employees like gm had good insurance and a good retirement plan idk about banks but i never heard of anyone retiring from there where did you get 70 dollars from?

  • LOL< 57 states

  • I'm so happy there are still intelligent folks out there in the world. How is it that people still don't understand how awesome capitalism is when they've lived their entire lives in such cushy style thanks to it? Not only do we have unions that promote inefficiency, we also have OSHA and the EPA. While you could argue that some good comes out of those organizations, the fact is that other countries don't have costs associated with them. I submit those organizations should be privately run.

  • lolz...unions....USED...to be a good thing...nowadays...they seem to abuse the power of strike and fighting for more money...i mean if you work hard...yeah you should get paid accordingly ^_^...but...don't over step what you're worth...

also...i help my father as a mechanic...and what the HELL is up with most car manufactures fighting the selling of parts? o.O...they're like...we have problems right now...we can't sell...wait what?...you're having money issues...but won't sell parts? um...okayz

  • Lol @ chevy having more fuel efficient vehicles than honda and toyota.

  • Interesting that you say that..only not once has he given anything but facts.

    closed minded moron

  • you nailed it exactly

numbers aside, the big 3 does/did have higher labor, and operating costs. They did make crap (i don't feel at all unpatriotic for saying that, check out consumer reports)

they should have been allowed to fail, isn't saturn doing just fine? FREE market does work globaly, and if there is no market for it, why prop it up.

the CfC, basicaly just let people who could already afford a new car have everyone pitch in for it

  • Its funny that you say 70 an hour Steven. I actually work for General Motors I am under the new Tier 2 Contract and work for 14 an hour. The Tier 1 employees the highest pay a union worker can make is 30 an hour. We all pay 50 a month to be in the union and they do there job and has saved our plant in the past (Arlington, Texas We Build SUVS Escalades, Tahoes, Hybrids Etc.) Get your facts right next time.

  • with a name like that i wouldnt trust you with your thoughts

  • why because my fighting game tag name is agenda and srk stands for Shoryuken your retarded.

  • To the GM dude...um, did you include all your benefits in dollar amounts with your $14.00 per hour? Cause that shit counts bud.

  • the only benefits i got is medical after 6 months i gotta wait 7 years for vision and dental

  • He's a christian gentile but thanks for showing your pittiful ignorance.

  • Awesome obama impression.. also to posts below.. Im just guessin here but, Im sure that if we droped labor to $40 an hour like the rest, that these workers will still make QUITE a nice living. Thats more then 4x what im payed at my job and Im absolutely sure I put more effort and knowledge into my work then the guys who sit on a line watching machines practically put themselfs together. (seriously)

  • That was actually a good obama impression.

  • That would be a fair argument if all these car companies were playing by the same set of rules. But they aren't, foreign labor is cheaper for a number of reasons. You really can't expect american workers to compete against the standard of living that chinese workers have. It's a raise to the bottom in terms of how you pay your labor. Sorry, a free market approach would make sense where all these mfg'ers were playing by the same sets of rules, but they aren't.

  • Foreign car companies have plants in America that employ American workers. How are they not playing by the same rules? They're more efficient and produce a better quality vehicle.

  • recall toyota

  • This guy is RIGHT on all counts!

  • Here here, law of capitalism is if you make a product people don't want ,you lose your shirts. The foreign makers make a better product so how can you force people to buy your own shit for the same price. Appealing to patriotism in an attempt to swindle you is really low

  • "random" accidents Do happen still....

  • hope this guy gets what's coming to him.......

  • I guess you don't like facts huh?

  • Can't wait to see your video on a need to cut off those worthless parasitic farmers in the red states from all the tax dollars they are stealing to grow corn no one wants. 30 billion dollars a year in government sponsored theft. When are we going to see a conservative with the moral courage to go to the primaries in Iowa and tell them to stop leaching off the American taxpayer.

  • About the same time you get a liberal with the moral courage to stop pandering to race politics.

  • HEMP = USA number 1 crop / export 50 yrs ago.

Hemp = biodegradable fuel & biodegradable plastics.

Why d'ya think BIG OIL companys demonised Hemp into - "maruajana reefer MADNESS!" ???

Big OLI said "FUCK the planet, FUCK the MULTIPLE other benefits of HEMP our #1 fastest growing crop - FUCK that it makes CLOTHES, ROPE, health cures, plastic, runs cars. BURN ALL HEMP!!! FUCK EVERYONE but US!!!

    Choose Hemp kids

  • Hemp is a great Product but..... the rope it makes is crap as hell.... and the fuel it makes you would have to refuel a 20gallon tank ever 30min and every thing pot can cure advil and as well as synthetic tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) witch doesnt make you high and mess up your lungs

  • pot can cure advil? wtf are you talking about? lmao

  • this is a clear concise rundown of the bailout. Dudes getting paid for shit nobody bought.

  • Hahaha "Kwanza.... isn't a real holiday"

  • There was not bailout, The goverment made them take the money. Then the goverment took them over by installing CEO's that have no clue how to run a automotive company.

Then they run a cash for clunkers program, without any money to pay for it. Now the dealers are stuck with the bill. Way to go Obama. 137 dealers are going out of business cause you won't pay up!

I'm voting anybody thats been in office more then 6 yrs. out the door. Get a real job you spending wankers.

  • Steven great views on the auto bailout, its sad that even after we "BAILED THEM OUT" GM and CHRYSLER, STILL FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY... great way to show our tax payer dollars help them "NOT FAIL" when yea after we "BAIL THEM OUT" they still "FAIL" And after they "REBUILD/ORGANIZE" They are getting MORE BAILOUT MONEY upwards of 50Billion+, This is why I like Ford, they never needed a bailout, the CEO went to the hearings to watch his competition begging for mercy HAHAHA

  • I think you opinions some what suck but you really nailed this one...How bout the wall street bailout?

  • Great truths Steven

Hey how about the UAW running ads every November telling all those on the right to take a flying leap, reminding those Repubs to why theyt should not buy American. Can anyone ever remember Toyota or Honda running political adds tell half the population to screw off?? But that is exactlyy what the UAW does every November... The stupidist Aholes running the UAW can you imagine Dell running a commercial in November against 50% of the pop.

  • I PUT UP THE VOLUME NOW MY EORS HURT

  • The unions are CRAZY here in Michigan. Detroit's public schools have a 25% grad. rate, and the crappy teachers are almost invincible. The only way they could be fired is if they commit a felony. UAW has gone crazy with demanding unreasonable pay.

  • I CANT HEAR SHIT PUT UP THE VOLUME

  • Detroit,

Get a clue. You're doing the same labor a robot can do. I'd love to make $40 to $70 per hour for screwing a bucket seat to some rails.

  • Are you serious? You have to work standing up for 8-10 hrs with one break that lasts about 20 min. There is no air conditioning in the factory so when its 90 degrees outside it's about 98 degrees inside. And you don't just screw bolts. You have to do a lot of physical work for longs hrs at a time.

  • Detroit,

Of course I am serious. I've had to work standing up most of my life. You get a standing mat and wear comfy shoes and take pain killers. By law you have to get one 30 minute unpaid break and one 15 minute paid break when you work that long. Unless I am mistaken. I've always had a 30 minute free lunch and a paid 15 minute break.

Air or not that is something to take up with OSHA, your union rep, or the boss.

  • Cut the bullshit, I'm Canadian, but my uncle and my cousin work for Crysler, + I have a friend that worked for Ford, and one 20 min break is complete twaddle.

  • Yeah, you're right. But I still I hate it when people say they get payed to much.

  • Incorrect grammar; they get paid TOO much.

  • Nice to see the propaganda wasn't for nothing after all.

  • Best political blogger on youtube.

  • gross - put a shirt on!!!! otherwise great video I fully argee!

  • Anyone who would "take advantage" of this scheme (cash for clunkers) is part of the PROBLEM, and is certainly not part of the SOLUTION!

Keep selling America out from under the citizens, obummer, we'll see how much everyone "loves" you when the Chinese foreclose on us!

  • I agree with your idea on the C4C's deal Pro3110, It's a waste of taxpayer money, and besides, lets say you get 4500 for your clunker, put it towards a 13000 vehicle (like a cube *even though I want one LOL!) thats now 8500 plus tax/tags/title. And for most American's they can't even get a loan for 4K let alone 8500 for a newer vehicle even with the NO MONEY DOWN crap cause you still have to pay to add the vehicle to your insurance which is the first 6 months your yearly payment!

  • Look at Teamsters. Theyre currently in a pyrimid ponzi scheme (w/ the govrnmnts help) trying to stay afloat at FedEx expense. Teamsters has FedEx in court. Congress trying to change how FDX operates. FedEx needs the Railroad Act, or FDX would be no better than UPS or USPS. Duh. Teamsters is trying to get an infusion of CASH to put off the inevitable. Let them die! It's another govrnmt subsidized bailout of a dying union who doesn't contribute to the economy.

  • Personally, I LOVED hearing that FORD turned a 2.8 billion dollar profit last quarter, and is the only domestic car company that REFUSED to take bailout bucks!!!!!

And this cash for clunkers crap? Please, my beat up Escort of almost 19 years of age doesn't "qualify", it still gets 30 MPG, and I'm awful proud to be driving around in something that is paid off and didn't cost the tax-payer a single dime! (Even if it's not bright and shiny)

Hope the chinese like the motors we're sending them!

  • As a proud driver of an Escort of 13 years I love laughing at those driving Priuses! I saved more energy and carbon output buying that used car then junking my old one and buying a new Hybrid.

    Ford forever!

  • There's no such thing as a "free market", nothing in life is for "free". Though I do favour fair & open market policies.

  • funney how they accept bailout with a CEO salary cap - but no claus for bonuses...yeah!!! i ran one of America's oldest and strongest industries straight into bankruptcy, i should get a 20 million dollar bonus for hard work... lotta work feedin my own pockets, ya know

  • I'm so sorry it took me this long to find your channel.. keep it up.

  • For once, we agree. I blame the declining sales on the web. Since the 70s, Japanese cars have scored higher in reliability. In those days what info did a person have? You talked to a few friends and relatives and got their opinions and misinformation. With the web (since the late 90s), it's easy to scan thousands of reviews and opinions. People started realizing that domestic cars are crap. That and the unions, like you say. 100% agreement.

  • Great Video Steven.

Accurate information and well said. The only other thing I would like to add is the CEO salary/bonus factor.

In the US in 1970 the average CEO pay was 28 times that of your average worker.

In 2005 it was 465 times.

That will hurt any companies bottom line. Foriegn companies have thier CEo over seas and likely don't pay as much.

  • Unfortunately, that's liberal speak, my friend.

If a CEO wants to pay himself $80 trillion a month, and he has the funds to do so (provided his employees are paid), that's his right. He earned his spot to become the CEO, now he gets to reap the benefits.

  • Lol.

    You're joking right?

First of all if its a publically traded company he has a responsibility to the shareholders. Second that money would be better served reinvested in the company.

Also take a look around lots of these CEOs who get these huge amounts of pay don't deserve it or falsify financial statements to get it. Can you say Enron, Fannie Mae, etc. Its common place for some CEOs to take advantage of the growth their predecessor created and milk the company for all its worth.

  • If you want to hear all this explained to you. watch the following

    watch v=tOHcfiMwlAQ&feature=channel_page

  • The Auto Bailout was Bush..... Please don't tell me you defend Bush on this aspect..........

  • TARP1 was passed under Bush which Obama and McCain supported. Any conservative worth their salt has Bush AND McCain on their shit list. The actual automotive takeovers were done under Obama's heavy hand, end of story.

  • Boom. You are DEAD on. The government basically said, "Ah, well fuck the consumers. We're gonna do what WE want."

...Speaking of which, the whole reason for the bailout was to leech us (the common man) out of our money right? Cause, ya know, they're using OUR money to bailout these companies. We seriously need to do something about our government...

  • Something comes to mind... oh yeah, second amendment... sayin something about throwing off opressive governments.

  • Great

  • AMAZING!

  • Auto Bailout Video

    STEVEN CROWDER

    for free markets!!!!!!

you are an austrian economics adherent!!!

    God bless you sir....

  • You forgot Eid of course i wouldn't expect you to because you hate muslims as i've seen in most your blogs...some having very good points...others being slitly misguided and a little to far to the right.

  • This is great I hope people are learning something.

  • Sorry to disappoint you, but when do people learn? Humans never learn.

  • haha yeah true

  • Excellent assessment of the situation. Keep up the good work!

  • LOL!!!!

  • I say if there is anyone to blame it is everyone who have somthing to do with the auto-industry. So The poeple who make the rubber, the ones who sell oil, the people who make cars, the store clerk who takes you stuff to your car, the crossing gaurd, the people who make the fibers for the people who make the car chairs. I would just keep going, but ILL just say we are ALL TO BLAME We see what is going on and do NOTHING. We see what the Union people are getting payed and get envios. you tell me.

  • fuck i wanna make 70 an hour lol. Glad he hit the nail on the head. Im tired of people protecting the UAW,, they suck so much. And he pointed out everything that needed to be said.

  • Some of what these CEOs make might seem outrageous, but what about pro athletes? They require less education that the union line-monkeys, and make more than some CEOs while producing nothing but mindless entertainment.

I don't think these private companies should be asking the government (read: taxpayers) to bail them out because of their own poor decisions and inefficiency.

Let them sink, maybe something better will emerge in their place.

  • THANK YOU! Thank You for having the guts to say "Merry Christmas!" God Bless You!

  • The union has little to do with the financial problems with the autocompanies. They are part of the problem but far from taking all the blame. Everyone talks about the workers making too much money compared to the forigen automakers. Well, how about looking at the CEO's.....the average pay of a CEO in an american autocompany is 15 mill. The forigen competors is around 1.5 mill. Big diffrence.

  • How many CEO's are there in each company? You really think CEO pay tanked the Automobile industry in America? lol
