  • Beautifully performed! I'm a Japanese living in the US. I was introduced to this beautiful tune by an Welshman, who taught me fly fishing long time ago. Thank you for sharing your story on the tune and performing it. I also like 「風」書道 writing in the back : )

  • listen to calon lan by 'only boys aloud' - it basicallly sums up wales ! im half welsh tooo, wooo!:)

  • Very talented :) I'm 1/4 Welsh and always sing this song.

  • can you do a tutorial please

  • Virtual high five in the half Welsh club! My dad was actually the english one,but he was a failure and he left!

I might try and get into Aberystwyth or I might go to Exeter because I think they do Japanese there and eventually I'm planning to move to Japan. It'll end up being the Isle of Man at this rate!

  • Mp3? :D

  • Very well played and beautiful, keep up the awesome work

  • by the way my name is cerys

  • I was born into and named after the welsh language -My name is a version of the welsh word Love- and I love this version of the song

Chi yn chwarae piano yn dda iawn !

  • So proud to be Welsh! :) This was absolutley beautiful!

  • Hey I'm Welsh and am a fluent Welsh speaker. It's my first language. Well done it's an excellent version of Myfanwy! Da iawn.

  • I'm also half welsh, I want to understand where my dad came from too, thank you for this music it is inspiring!

  • i lived in wales but i moved to australia, im full welsh also :D

i lived in the south valley of abertillery in blaenau gwent :)

  • I had to leave Wales and I miss it so much. Myfanwy is very simple and some say sickly ( especiaaly to women ) Bugeilio'r Gwenith Gwyn , The ash- grove Cwm Rhondda are equally as iconic. There's more to each song than just the tune and lyric . The poetry the internal rhymes (typically Welsh ) The period of first prominence .It's the tunes that capture the soul though

  • Hi Keudae, I have recently posted Myfanwy on utube and saw your version. I really enjoyed it, but if I may give you some small hints on how to improve your performance. Try playing it a little faster and try to smooth your playing, it is a little jerky at times. I like the way you play the true music including the full harmony. This will come naturally with practice. Best wishes Bryan.

  • Beautiful... absolutly beautiful, your Welsh ancestors would approve!

Welsh Quote " To be born Welsh is to be born priveleged. Not with a silver spoon in your mouth, But music in your blood, and poetry in your soul." Im visiting Wales for the first time this christmas :) Again, I have to say, very very lovely!

  • @soberindothan thank you so much! i really appreciate your words!! :) now i'm going to memorize that quote and try to really believe it in my heart when i play music, and just every day <3
