  • Nice video!!!

  • @edtv73 Thank you! I appreciate that.

    Cheers!

  • With the intake alone, you will never see any increase in fuel mileage. If you see any at all, it would take the lifetime of the truck to recoup t he cost. Not to mention, the possible risk of contaminating your MAF... I just did this to my tacoma... no MPG gain, and had to clean the MAF weekly for about 3 months as the oil was coming off the fK&N (no i did not ever oil it or clean it yet). My next move is to take the whole thing off and put the stock box back on.

  • @dynomax666 Sorry to hear you're having such a bad experience with your intake. I've heard about some people having problems with the MAF due to the oil filter. Have you considered buying a cone filter? I haven't had any problems with intake and I did notice improved gas mileage...I did exhaust at the same time so this would definitely be a contributing factor. Good luck and thanks for posting : )

  • @winnipegjohnston What did you put on for exhaust? was it the full deal or what? My muffler is going to need to be replaced. Really over all, this is a reliable as a rock little truck, and I do plan on keeping it for another 3-4 years... wish i cold beat the 12mpg city!!!

  • @dynomax666 It is just a muffler, but it is a Magnaflow with 2-3" diameter inlets and 1-3" diameter outlet so the exhaust flow is definitely improved. I had my exhaust shop tapper the factor exhaust piping up gradually from the small factory diam pipe to the 3" muffler inlets.

Have you tried replacing your fuel filter? I replaced mine and noticed a gain in MPG. It worth a shot... Good luck!

  • @dynomax666 Sorry I meant to say a FOAM filter, not a cone filter...

  • do you see a increase in gas mileage and how much u pay for the intake

  • @scoofshakes Yes, I actually get ~30-50kms more per tank! Keep in mind this mod was combined with Magnaflow exhaust, so the exhaust and intake compliment each other and I highly recommend that you do both mods at the same time. I bought it from a local shop for just over $300. Well worth the money IMO. Cheers!
