Well, I'm still testing the demo and ordered Amplitube 3 Pedal today. I'm blown anway by the sounds and possibilities. In lack of a good pre amp right now, I use my Marshall JMP-1 pre map in front of the sound card (line in).....awesome! Now I can even use this favorite piece of gear together with AT 3.
A dream come true and no hassle with mics, speakers, attenuators etc.
Thanks for the kind words. The tones are great from the new AmpliTube 3 and the StealthPedal is a perfect and tightly integrated interface/controller for it too
I'm trying the demo right now and as a Marshall on 11 guy I'm impressed! It's hard to get such a sound in a (home) studio so it's a blessing. I'm using an old wah pedal as "interface" since it has the Hi-Z input and then into a standard real tek card. Will it even sound better with the stealth and USB connection?
It should sound better with a high-quality interface like StealthPedal (which is also a great controller). The input signal is very important - many people on recording forums and such say this, and reviewers tend to point it out too (Frugal Guitarist is one of them that does say that and he's a fan of the StompIO as interface in front of amp sims). Thanks!
This is a great USB audio interface, especially for guitar and bass. Why would that be a problem? Many people use USB interfaces and make outstanding music. You might want to give it (and the AmpliTube software) a try. We have demos available.
I wish Line 6 had something like this to go along with the Toneport/StudioPods.
