This race is also 1600m above sea level, meaning it usually goes about 40 seconds slower as well. All he needed was a personal best at under 38 (which you need evidence), not aiming to run for 38, .

You're an idiot. Just because he ran sub 38 before, doesn't mean he would do it again. So he could've very easily have deserved to been in the A wave. And if you altitude convert a 39:00 at 5300 feet, it's a sub-38. way to troll on youtube and make yourself look like an ass clown.
