the depth finder probably wouldnt have been any use if it was a sandbar the depth woulda come up very fast quicker than they couldve done anything about but the charts? obviously whoever was in command of the bridge at the time did not have control of the vessel therefore HES FIRED!!

They must of really run hard aground. Usually they just wait for high tide and empty the ballast. They must not of had much ballast.
