Souhlasím- Gott byl a je stále výborným zpěvákem a má neustále miliony posluchačů- nechte politiku tam, kde má být a poslouchejte. V těžkých letech nazpíval nejkrásnější desku vánočních písní- Vánoce ve Zlaté Praze a to dokonce v kostele!! Tenkrát to bylo hrdinství! A já si tu desku každé Vánoce pouštím, ačkoli je už ohraná, Vánoce bez ní by pro mne nebyly Vánocemi. Připomíná mi dobu, kdy jsme zakukleni v šátcích prchali na kůr, abychom mohli zazpívat na půlnoční mši naši Rybovku!

Despite the doubts of Karel Gott, I have to say that this man claimed my heart with his songs. Though some people like you say that he was a collaborator, you have to realize that he had no other choice. The greatest pressure lied upon his shoulders, he was (and is) the icon of czech pop-music. What would be worse? to loose his songs, let the communists to wipe him out of the czech people's minds, or let him sing and make people happy? definitely the first choice. definitely.
