  • Like The Music! Great work! even though I'm not from America!

  • Guys, seriously. It's images from history from 1492 - 2009 in EIGHT MINUTES.

Yes, there are going to be things left out. A lot of things happened in all those years, but not everything has a picture for it. And even if ever single event had a picture for it, do you really think they would all fit on an 8 minute Youtube video? My goodness, don't we all have better things to do than bitch about some video on the internet?

Tl;Dr, calm yo tits, it's just a video.

  • yeah sweet use of google images bro i love how you hop right from jamestown to the boston masacre.. what about bacon's rebellion? or the french and idian war? alot happened from 1630-1770

  • where is the segment where the fuckers enslaved Native Americans, Africans, and carried out systematic genocide against them?

  • Oh, there are yankees who know where are their roots? So you know Spain isn't at the south of Mexico? I'm really impressed, no joke.

  • @ztkRaptoR

    Source?

  • @ztkRaptoR

No, we don't. Unemployment was 3x worse in the Depresion, and tax rates are lower than they've been since income taxes were first implemented. Pay attention in history class next time, smartass.

  • You totally left out the 90s... From Berlin Wall in '91 right to the Florida recount in '00. There was time to put one picture of Clinton or something there and how about an actual picture of President Obama instead of just a campaign sign? You're saying this is through 2009, but the last event you pictured was before the '08 election. To be balanced I didn't see Reagan in there or much about Communism. Besides those criticisms a good video. I could recognize most of the events/people.

  • @DanDaBowlr300

Thanks for your note. Actually, I agree with all of your comments. The title which ends in "2009" was given because it was shown in my school in January 2009, still before Obama was inaugurated and three months after completion in 2008, even before the election. But, a lot is missing - I think of new things every time I've watched it.

  • @MrTummon,How come you haven't mentioned the death of George Harrison as well?

  • No. we are tired of paying high taxes for more useless government and for people who do not want to work to sit lazily at nome not working and for people elsewhere to get free resources when we have our own problems here and tired of having illegal aliens plug our hospitals and emergency rooms getting free care. Tired of runaway social programs with too many layers of government employees who do no work. tired of politicians who have elite reitement and healthcare. No.That's it! No soup for you

  • YOU FORGOT TO INCLUDE THAT ALL OF THAT COULD OF NOT BEEN POSSIBLE WITHOUT THE THIEFT AND DESTRUCTION OF NATIVE CIVILIZATIONS! OH AND NOT TO BURST YOUR BUBBLE BUT,I FORGOT TO MENTION THE HOLOCAUST OF THE NATIVE AMERICANS! FUCKING PIRATES!

  • @johnny1988ism,For once I agree with you on this one.

  • Oh nevermind, I just saw what song it is. Very Beautifully done!

  • I really like this video. We watched it in History. Brilliant Music as well! Whered you find it?

  • Wow brilliant video dude! ;)

  • Long live American Empire! The best, the most democratic empire of all times.

  • You still have no idea what you're talking about. Record unemployment is a hangover from the economic destruction that Bush imposed (partly with his insane and unsustainable tax cuts) which is why we need higher taxes now to recover from it.

  • You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. That obviously hasn't happened. We're still recovering from Bush's presidency. Quit complaining.

  • No actually, that's kind of what really happened.

  • very very cool, thanks that had to take some real effort, great job

  • How chauvenistic of the author of this piece, Though part of the United States, Puerto Rico has a history almost 200 years older than the United States. When the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock, San Juan was a thriving city with government buildings. The cathedral in San Juan was built when the Pilgrims were scavenging for food in Massachusetts and barely building shacks.

  • First of all, it is spelled chauvinistic. And although Puerto Rico may be related to U.S. history, the 200 years preceding U.S. history that you are referring too are completely irrelevant.

  • All great except the Obama part...how does that even remotely fit to the other historical events depicted.

  • It is an important piece of history. This is a timeline that ends at that period in time.

  • Very good compilation of pictures of hallmark events/personalities throughout US history. It would be a good starting point for discussions of the various events. As always, there is alot NOT discussed about US History in schools, both good and bad and each of the pictures could be a good way for students to dig deeper into the signficance of each.

  • Wow! What else can i say but WOW! Excellent - should be shown in classrooms.

  • Outstanding video that captures the history of the United States. Thumbs up

  • woooooww...amazing. thank u!! :)

  • Outstanding! A wonderful contribution that I will use to introduce review this year for my US History students.

  • excellent job! this video is beyond fascinating!

    keep up the good work!

  • wow this is so awesome. it really shows US history through pictures.
