This was released in 1988 in Australia, after daryl had been away from the music scene for a while. A great comeback if there ever was one.

this guy is older than rick astley by twenty years and was the leadd singer for the 70's aussie superband "Sherbet" besides it was a brillant song then and is a brillant song still.

I saw your comment and put myself to the task of answering it. I have not been able to find out who the woman is but I am waiting for a call from Daryl Braithwaite's current manager. These things are very difficult because the clip is so old and the music industry changes very quickly.

great song - he just keeps getting better and better as he gets older - have a look at his version of "Pity the Child" from the musical Chess, recorded in 1996. Fabulous stuff. He has a newish album, too, The Lemon Tree, available from his website.

One of my all time favourite aussie songs. Up there with Your the voice, Working class man and Great southern land. Could never get tired of listening to this, I miss the 80's, such an easier time.

WOW, I may have seen this in the late 80s, as opening scene of "Central Station" looks familiar. Great that "C.Station" record store is featured in the clip. Onto the main thing, THIS track literally has me in tears. Used to hear it on the radio & was instantly drawn to it's beauty, The harmonies, melody, structire, emotion & voice is just heart melting! THIS should of been a bigger hit than all of Daryl's others. 3:29 to 3:33 is the most immaculate key change + Thanks SO deeply for posing this*
