  • he ruined all clowns careers

  • the clown idea couldn't make the movie any scarier & especially the fact that he was spiritual & physical entity at the same time ..brilliant spookiness & very mind fucking

  • Stephen King's scary as shit in his books, funny as hell in real life. Can you not like a guy like this?

    Now, about the movie.

I don't discredit the makers for trying, because Lord knows they did. But the novel IT is such a dynamically imaginative piece, that I cannot find a possible way to turn it into a more visual medium. For God's Sakes, if you look in the Deadlights you go into endless shock that is essentially death. How do you do that in a movie? I recommend the book and only the book.

  • Is that you mark hamill?

  • I like steven king, but the whole ronald macdonald story was soooooo painfully fabricated. Especially the little tidbits about him smoking and drinking.

  • I bet every clown hates him for ruining their career with the movie

  • I hate clowns, but I will read this book one day!

  • IT is the best book of all times, OF ALL TIMES

  • I like Steven King and all but that movie "IT" ruined my childhood, i was scared to take showers home alone for about 4 years.

  • @grantant9 it's a good thing u haven't read the book than

  • @grantant9 ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I watched that movie when I was like...9, and I thought

it was HILARIOUS, Tim Curry made me laugh my ASS OFF, and Carrie?? shocking, but not scary...

Besides that, I love Stephen King books, and movies.

  • @grantant9 Lol, I watched it when I was seven and didn't sleep for three days. After that, it pretty much screwed with the next five years of my life.

.....I find it quite funny now though.

  • @grant I was the same way, everytime I closed my eyes in the shower i would always think that fucking clown would pop out of the drain and kill me after i opened them back up.

  • @grantant9

I was a kid and found it scary, too. But now as an ADULT, having read the book I can tell you it's far scarier, nothing VISUAL in that movie is as scary as some of the stuff you read in the novel. So far the best Stephen King novel I have read in my own opinion.

  • @StreetsOfSonic agree the movie is cheesy, the book is dark as spilled blood, it scared me :O

  • @grantant9 exactly

  • The clown's part was written about the speaker creeps. Somethings wrong with those child killers.

  • Thanks Stephen King!!!!

  • I HATE clowns, Stephen King is someone who constantly inspires me to finish what I have started. :)

  • i love stephen king books, but really i attracked wierdness?

  • he is my favorite author of all time,i think that The Dark Tower series is his best work(in my opinion),along with The Stand. The Dark Tower books aren't really scary just weird,in a positive way

  • @darkrow435 Agreed.

  • "McDonald Land" hahaha

  • Information Technology? What am I not getting here?

  • I hated with a passion ur IT clown , sir!!! hahaha

  • Well, there is The Joker too. He was drawn really Creppy in the early days. They Must've creeped some people out in the early 20th century.

  • Never pictured his voice would be like that, but it fits him. He's my favorite author ever.

  • i've never read "It", i looked up the wikipedia page and just by reading the plot on wiki, It scared me shitless. X[ XD

  • @Beatles4eva3 You should check it out sometime. I'd have to say "IT" is my favorite Stephen King novel (and it has nothing to do with IT being one of the first horror movies I ever saw as a kid lol). Even now, for some weird reason, I still find something about the final line of the book sad or bittersweet when I think of it.

  • genius

  • lmao a weirdness magnet!

  • this dudes as creepy as his stories.

  • Metaphorically he was refering all that time at Conan O Brian, hahahaha.

  • Improvisedcinema1 you cant go around saying shit about Stephen king and thinks ok cause one day your going to get bitch slapped

  • When I was a kid, I was terrified of clowns too. We had an old painting of a "sad clown" that hung in the basement, and I always wondered "if that's a man, why the hell is he wearing lipstick?!?"

  • It is an alien.... not a clown

  • @DrFizz28 good job. spolier.

  • The scariest horror book ever published is 'Thirteen Volume One' by Andrew Hannon.

    Google it.

  • In the book, his powers were so amazing it made the movie version seem like a baby ant. He was apparently alive since the beginning of time, making him older then the Devil (Satan) himself!!!! If not for his ONLY weakness of changing into a physical form every 30 or so years, he could must likely kill the Devil and rule the world and only God would be able to stop him. Damn the multiverse theory!!! Because of the theory, Pennywise could be real in a different dimension and crossover to ours!!!!

  • every1 thinks i should be a writer and i wanna write stuff like this but im 12 so....... ya haha

  • this guy created HORROR !!!!!!

  • not a single dislike

  • Stephen, when was the last time you had a really good idea.......been many years

  • @improvisedcinema1 you are joking right?

  • @MrNicMachiavelli yeah, lol

  • @improvisedcinema1 lol oh thank God. You mentioned my 2 least favorite authors while attacking King. I was about to shout blasphemy.

  • @improvisedcinema1 ahahahahah, Twilight is shit you faggot...

  • @Khaenus i was kidding, i know twilight is shit, just wanted to see your reaction. i'm a 15 year old guy, and i'm not gay, i like Stephen king but some of his movies are kinda crap, no where near as bad as twilight though, New Moon remains my least favourite film ever, i'd rather watch The Room

  • @improvisedcinema1 Stephen King writes books. Not movies. He doesn't have much control at all over how his movies turn out. Read the Shining, then watch the movie. Do you really think he would change (and imo, butcher) that much? No.

  • @MusicalMikus ye i know, just saying the film adaptations except for The Shining, The shawshank redemption and The Green Mile have been hugely unpopular, The tommy knockers, IT, The langoliers. They all suck

  • @improvisedcinema1 I lol'd. I lol'd hard. Very hard.

  • @Shyreenify my comment was a joke dissing stephen king, i just wanted to see how many thumbs down i got :)

  • @improvisedcinema1 Oh,ok. Nevermind then :)

  • @Shyreenify lol

  • I know of at least 5 people who saw IT at a too young an age, who's scared witless of clowns, even now when they're adults.

  • drit bra intervju:)

  • Arent The Clowns Funny Johnny? No ! GET ME THE HELL OUTTA HERE !!!! LOL EPIC !!!!!!!

  • If I could read minds, I WOULD RUN LIKE HELL and hide in a lead freakin box chanting "lalalalalalalalalala" if I EVER saw Stephen King sauntering my way.....

  • "What's not to like?" lolz

  • funny

  • 0:03 I was scared sh*tless by clowns before I'd even heard of Stephen King...

  • I have read the book IT like 15 times.

I have seen the movie IT like 15 times.

  • "I'm gonna die next to a clown" AHAHAH irony xD

  • I think he's a great writer and a role model,too :D

  • clowns dont scary meh.... execpt Jigsaw.....

  • "I attract weirdness."

He is such a great person.

  • How big is Conan? I ask cos King is 6'4, 190, and he looks like a child here. Is it just the angle, or is Conan on a raosed seat?

  • ladies and getlemen the king of horror stephen king!

  • mcdonald land lmao

  • Good man

  • IT the movie was terrifying enough. I don't want to read the book.

  • @RINGMASTER1118

Trust me, You WANT to read the book, It makes the movie seem like kindergarden :) So great.

  • Well the first half is alright i guess

  • Whats not to like?!?

  • i love the movie IT one of my many favorites........

  • IT the movie was horrible. I hear there making the remake so i will watch that

  • @VlogMan100 was it that bad? I can't remember much of the movie but I've always heard the 1st half when they're kids is pretty good but the part where they're grown up is bad.

  • Gosh, he`s brilliant! He`s so clever and witty it`s almost scary. Trully, no interviewer stands a chance against him. And h is so true and natural and spontneous. God, I love him!

  • Clowns can be fucking scary

  • Bob Kane is the one that started it all with The Joker.

  • Clowns are always freaky. Look at John Gacey. Good lord he was a terrifying thing...Pennywise would have ate him though

  • i love that book! hate the ending though...sorry.

  • @zombiefreak1300 Yeah, I was like, "That's it? Wow..." It was missing something.

  • @zombiefreak1300 I agree, its really good but the ending made me upset i expected more...

  • There is an entire generation scared to death about clown thanks to this brilliant man. He´s got the gift to turn the dullest thing in the best horror story...

  • IT and Salems Lot are some of the best films ever....waydago King!

  • A drunker one, "You don't know what it's like." Conan's Ronald sounds alot like Crusty.

  • The Stand is the best for me. I also love Christine too, i mean really, King is the KING of horror for a reason.

  • i love stephen king my favorite of his is THE STAND! and then my next favorite is the green mile or the shawshank redemption!

  • hes inspired to write. I have written 3 books and is hoping to publish all of them.

  • go stephen king

  • clown are freaking scary

  • I didn't realise the book was about a homicidal clown. I guess I missed the point when I read It.

  • @Coldheart9009 lmao it's not but whenever you mention the book to someone, it's like "oh, that one about the clown?"

  • @KDMJ1095 I know man, I was being sarcastic haha. Conan clearly missed the point, as do a lot of people I agree. I can't tell you how many times I've heard people talk about "It the Clown".

  • @emeraldshot2 or a clown

  • gawd hes sooo amazing...and he was more than just a clown in that book !!

bag of bones , it , insomnia best books ever . dead zone i9s his only sucky book !! Long live stephen king !!

  • @heartmulgrew15 WAY more than just a clown. ;D Way to go, Stephen King.

  • long live the king

  • I LOVE STEPHEN KING'S BOOKS!!!! bag of bones was beast! except every

body makes fun of me at school for reading stephen king cuz im 11.

    :P

  • @mrdirtisbomb i feel your pain i'm 11 and i read stephen king books

  • Stephen is one psycho-freak. He's awesome, but his obvious weirdness (in a good way), is, in it's way, the reason his stories are so frightening the way they are, and abandoned, and he dares to say and write such gory, freaky, twisted events. It's like every other author's afraid to, or something.

  • What about Gacy? That´s the source of the clown obviously.

  • I read that he might go back to derry for an IT follow up,hope so,PENNYWISE LIVES!!!

  • He is the craziest mother fucker who ever lived!!

  • Stephen King is my idol and mentor. I hope to write stories as brilliantly twisted as his someday... S.K. Forever!

  • @River166 good luck

  • @River166 just don't put anything in about gay blowjobs :)

  • I love Stephen King too....and he's mentioned in a couple books where I used to live too

  • Yay Stephan King!

Hes actually pretty funny too. Horror and Comedy! He should try it!

  • i love stephen king!! yay lol x
