thanks for your wonderful thoughts....thanks for the advices am new to web design and want to get more attention also soon in UI/UX...keep more advices! your one of my inspiration mike thanks!
Michael, I have watched your videos since grade 11 now I'm in college in my first year out of the two year course, IWD, you have influenced me along with 2 other IT people who are still my role models, appreciate it ill definitely hit you up in a couple of years when I move to the states (from Canada)
Hey Mike, what technologies would you say are most important to learn when getting into UI/UX design? I would imagine things like PHP, JScript, and Ajax, but please feel free to elaborate. Thanks and keep up the great work! :)
Very clear Mike. Thanks for the vid. Im also interested in graphic design. Could you show live examples in future vids? I really liked that in the previous vids. Maybe you could review sites from your viewers? I am also interested in graphic design. Best regards!
Good video Mike.....I know that you focus your blog on web design but I also know that you do a little graphic design I was wondering if can u do more tutorials on print work like brochures, booklets, and flyer's.
what is your take on Asians offering websites at $10/hr. I put ads on craigslist and get them offering to make ME a website at that price. It blows my mind. Of course they're craptastic, but, for all the clients I don't have, it seems I know now where they are.
@shakaama $10 goes a long way in somewhere like India, and for that price most westerners cannot compete, does that mean you should drop your price that low, NO WAY, if a client wants to pay that much then it's better they hire someone from there, not to say they're crap but $10/hr would not motivate me to sit at my desk, designing.
@London2ATL I couldn't agree more. I've always found clients paying less to be more demanding. If you find yourself with clients asking for too much for too little I'd recommend working on products for example pre-made templates, stuff for sites such as Theme Forest. Custom work with good clients will come after this.
@DamonRX He can't tell you that neither can anyone, a good career is subjective in a lot of sense, it is about your passion for what you do,is it financially rewarding? Yes it can be and if you're highly skilled you can command lots of dollars.
mike is a real quality professional and above that a great great guy who is sharing all these advice for all of us.

Photoshop isn't for web design, fireworks, and illustrator is =P (use what you want, it doesn't matter)

i think that instead of UI/UX Designer, you could call it Web Developer/Programmer!
You will need to learn web development(javascript,php,mysql,ajax,jquery,etc..) to be a UI/UX Designer as you say...
