a death trap...40sm ground clearance, no V-shaped hull, fuck that, id rather ride in Land Rover 90 in body armor, might get further, and dismount quicker when shit starts to fly..and yea, for a price of one of these types of machines (be it Humvee, or Eagle or Iveco or Phanard) u can get a platoon of Land Rovers..call me biast, ive seen Land Rover go where humvee got stuck, it "tried" to swim through mud and needed another humvee to pull the stuck vehicle out. better yet - an M113.

We did have a vehicle on sale called Toyota Mega Cruiser which looks very similar to H1 Hummer, but with 4WS(4wheel steering system) to be able to maneuver in Japanese narrow streets. The military version called "Koukidousya" was based to make this civilian Mega Cruiser, so the idea was pretty much same to the GM's.

Most Americans don't get the opportunity to see other countries military equipment, that may explain the "looks like" references. I believe that the Japanese defense force deployed to Afghanistan with some of these and they reportedly performed exceptionally well. Good engineering.

Yeah seriously. The vehicle in the video is in love with a Lotus Elise, but he was called away for military duty. Its an incredibly emotional series as they stay in touch via their onboard internet interfaces, but one day the LAV's communication cuts out. Worried about the LAV, the Elise can do nothing but cruise around the night streets of Tokyo to some moving pop song brought in via XM radio. But, in the end, the LAV returns home safely.
