Most of the time enthusiasts talk smack, and they've only been one or the other. I've been on both and Kingda Ka is still sucks in my mind overall due to the OTSR's, the ride itself is fine. It's just the restraints that make the experience.

Dragster's lapbars take advantage of that airtime. I may live near Cedar Point, but I have no biaism for either park. Cedar Point and Great Adventure aren't even in my top ten parks, they're more or less in my top 20.

kingda ka is faster, taller, better acceleration, and top thrill dragster is shorter, slower , and worst acceleration. and kingda ka did not copy top thrill dragster they are made by the same people.
@thepascalhouston doesnt matter about the shoulder straps. You dont feel them the whole time. they are like 3 inches from your body. I would thinnk this is more fun. faster, taller, and an extra hill. I thinkk ttd fans are just mad or something. Idk what it is. And dont say, "speed bump" because honestly, wouldnt you say its ttd is more fun if it had an extra "speed bump" or went faster or taller?

@Coasternator No one copied anyone. Kingda Ka & Top Thrill Dragster were made by the same roller coaster company. (Intamin i think). And dude, get your facts straight. Mantis came out in 1996. Chang came out in 1997. So, if anything, Six Flags copied Cedar Point. But again, "if anything", considering KK & TTD were made by the same people, and Chang and Mantis were made by the same people.

the launch was slow and for some reason...the brakes that stop it just in case it rolls
back on to the launch track...came up during the launch...the cable was pulling and pulling the cart and the magnetic brakes where trying to slow it down.

the engine almost burned out.
major damage.

it was a test launch.
