  • 1:37 - Someone threw an entire fucking drink on them!! Hahaa!!!!!

  • GREAT CLIP ... COOL SHYT!! ... PIPER&VALINTIN3.

  • Good thing it cut off before they started sucking each others cocks.

  • Am I right that Valentine dropped Albano as his manager when Albano turned good?

Its amazing to hear Piper and Valentine mention their NWA feud,I do remember the time when the WWF refused to mention the other wrestling organizations.

  • @Bizarronumber4 That is true, WWF acted like other organizations never existed even back then. One of the dumb reasons Vince usually made wrestlers change there name when they arrived in WWF! I miss old school wrestling!

  • It would have been hell of a match. Roddy Piper vs Greg Valentine in the old WWF. TO BAD.

  • This was knot I remember when terry funk talked about jyd breaking his ribs in PR yell

  • Who is throwing all that shit?

  • That is a great clip. Piper and Valentine's feud in the NWA was epic. It was very rare for wrestlers to mention other promotions back then. Did Piper and Valentine ever join forces as a tag team? A lot of tag team partners began as foes. Piper feuded with Wahoo McDaniel before becoming "friends" and tag team partners.

  • Like the previous individual mentioned, It would've been cool to see Valentine walk in and see the stare down with Piper.

  • Funny how even though Vince wanted everyone to think there were no other wrestling organizations, he did sometimes allow a word or two to be said. Japan was mentioned pretty freqently (although nothing specific). When Billy Jack & Hercules feuded, their past was mentioned. JYD & Butch Reed each mentioned being from Mid-South once or twice, and it wasn't edited.

  • I remember not long after this, they were both in a Battle Royale at the Spectrum in Philly ... still both heels ... and Piper started attacking Valentine. And the fans cheered.

  • weres Greg "the Hammer" Valentine now?

  • @mitsubishidiamante Last I heard he's still doing independent shows. Pro Wrestling Ohio I do believe.

  • Great segment.

  • Awesome! what you see in wrestling today is tantamount to a spanish soap opera...THIS was when real men were tough and ruled the world.

  • I wish the video showed Valentine walking onto the set at the beginning. If I remember correctly, Piper and Valentine were eyeing each other carefully as if expecting the other to attack. It took a bit for the two of them to be confortable sitting down next to each other (which is where this video starts).

  • I remember watching this as a kid, thinking "What the hell do they have to make up with each other for?" Needless to say, I didn't get Mid-Atlantic on tv yet during their bloody feud.

Finally remembered to look this one up on here, thanks for posting it!

  • Piper alluded to non-WWF history on a WWF show... they allowed that during the 80's?

  • @rlouie05 Early on, they even showed clips of non wwf guys

  • @rlouie05 Not for long. Thats one of the reasons why this clip is so special.

  • @rlouie05 I think Piper realized right after he said it because he kind of changes his story..

  • @carter2 I'm still somewhat confused by this segment. Did either Piper, Valentine, or even Albano do anything to warrant crap being thrown at them?

  • @rlouie05 It wasn't what they did in the segment it was what they had done to the popular wrestlers. Like Valentine said, Piper breaking Jimmy Snuka's neck or Valentine breaking Tito Santana's leg. Albano managed all the bad guys at this time. Piper was so hated that he could provoke riots at arenas

  • It was interesting that Piper brought up the past with Valentine, since McMahon squashed pretty much all of that talk (until Flair walked in with the belt in '91.)

The thrown garbage in the segment was a little distracting. It was a nice job by Piper to not haul off and clobber the throwers.

  • Albano briefly managed Valentine and Muraco following the death of the Grand Wizard (Ernie Roth.)

  • i dont remeber capt lou managing valentine.good stuff
