@OrangeSodaKing Yeah, just being silly. Turns out that later on Tchaik did meet Brahmsie and came to admire him as a person but still never cared for the music.
@Runescape28 In all seriousness, I believe that Tchaikovsky, although he didn't enjoy Brahms' music (what a fool), DID like Brahms quite much as a person, and they both got along fine.
@propagation0 I had exactly this melody in my mind all the time but didn't know where it came from. Thank god for the "search by melody" feature at IMSLP.^^
can you please tell me where i can download this?? i have been looking everywhere, and cannot find a GOOD version like this one! please and thank you? =)
@sutouha Gotta go to an oldschool music store and ask for "Brahms Symphony No 1 conductor Herbert von Karajan". But attention: 20-30 US Dollars it might take...
"Tchaikovsky didn't like Brahms"
My friends, would ye please stop comparing apples to oranges. Just enjoy the music

@imperiumdiaboli Now it's two people, so it's both. Remember that Tchaik called Brahms a "talentless bastard."

@imperiumdiaboli Right. In my opinion, Brahms was the better composer!

@OrangeSodaKing In mine too, but don't tell Pyotr, I'm still fond of his music to some extent. :-)

@OrangeSodaKing He seems to have been joined by three others... Wagner, Liszt and Hans Rott?

@OrangeSodaKing Why Tchakovsky? Brahms was German, Tchaikovsky was Russian.
