Damn so classic. I loved this game, finished it when I was 10 or earlier, but only to find out in 2005 when i searched the DK3 on the internet that was canceled .... I hope someone will have the brains to remake the project and continue the actual story with the Horned Reaper at the surface with the Dungeon Heart and everything that the old game had.Who made the game was a genius, who stopped it was a fucking gay fag priest and I hope he dies or gets sacrificed to the devil. DK 4 ever ! DK3 plz!

huh, people really seem to hate dk2 for no reason, I thought it was better, I fail to see how it wasn't, the gameplay was more rewarding, the conquering is fun, tell me people of the comments section, why is it the "biggest crap EA ever released?" sure the game did not have as much depth, but that is a very small tradeoff. On another note, apparently thousands still play this game online today, so again, how is it worse?

@lich109 Might be couse all the diffrent room looks and devices that was in gaming magazines never got implanted in the game. I would say the second one is better than the first one regardless, best online experience ever was with DK2, realy good multiplayer for the time, rocking my ISDN. Regardless, priceless game. Alot of humor and good times, better AI aswell (not that its saying much for the time). I would like to see a real DK3 sometime in the future tho.

DK 1 isn't really better, you just have nostalgia.

I had the same thing going with Total Annihilation Kingdoms, then I played it recently and saw that it wasn't really that great by todays standards. DK 2 is still playable by the standards of the day, DK 1 isn't.

In all honesty though, DK 1 and DK 2 are basically the same damn game, DK 2 just has better graphics and fewer maps.

Interesting thing is, "it's TEH DEVIL" is one of the reasons why EA cancelled Dungeon Keeper 3 to focus on "safer" games like Harry Potter. DK3 was cancelled halfway to completion, partly due to the fact that it wasn't marketable to children, lacked the publicity of Harry Potter, and for fear that it might generate a moral backlash.

So knowing this, I say we give EA a moral backlash for cancelling DK 3, I'll make the picket signs! Who's with me? Or we could just egg their limos.

Okay for 1 there is a DK3, its a MMO being released in Korea (somewhere like that can't rember off the top off my head) they are testing the market there, and if all goes well we will hopefully see it in Europe, and and its EA developing it :D

DK2 really sucked balls imo, the part of introducing mana as the source for spells took out some fun, and just making a joke out of the evil minions. i really liked DK1 so much better.
