thanked god someone understands me! i have like no nails whatsoever, as i'm looking at your nails, i think your nails are longer than me. if i could get my nails to like say your length that'd be great. i wear contacts too, and i'm just scared about cutting my cornea or ripping the contacts lens as well.

just file your nails to a round shape (if you can- somtimes mine are so short i can't shape them at all) because the squared off shape looks shorter

FOR PEOPLE WITH LONGER NAILS: Another tip, to help keep your polish from chipping, is to apply a top coat underneath the nail tip. After you've put on the top coat, put some clear coat on the underside of your nail tip. Just on the edge is fine, you don't need to paint the whole underside. Try to avoid the clear coat from making contact with the skin, as it will bunch and peal off. Afterwards, you apply clear coat to the rest of the nail, as you normally would, for a shiny finish.

awesome job! i do my nails all the time with rhinestones but i usually go over the top and sometimes cover a whole nail with them! but the thing is they tend to fall out a lot. do you know of a good protective nail polish that will reduce the wear and tear? thanks!

I have always seemed to have bad cuticals and i have the bad habbit of picking at it and making it just worse and a mess.

what do you reccommend to use to take care of the nail area just as routine matinence???

Hi There

My mom always told me to never touch my cuticles. If you start cutting and trimming and "messing" with them it will constantly peel and rip. So I leave my cuticle beds alone. There are occasions where I get hang nails and cuts :(

I just always make sure to put lotion in that area so that it is soft and doesn't dry out. Thats a must. Also putting a bit of Vaseline on them at night HELPS A LOT. :)

you should buff your nails before putting on nail polish so the polish has something to hold onto. Also it last longer.
