  • lmao @ kimura in the back still sulking!!

  • body same as me i want to box to XD

  • I wanna dempsey roll the fucker who stopped this anime.

  • @Sumbodi111 I heard there will be a 3rd season.

  • @Queerily indeed. It has been confirmed last summer i believe

  • @Sumbodi111 the anime isn't done. They just don't do filler. They'll start again when the manga catches up. :)

  • @msdrakegx The manga is in the 980's. I think that the anime has alot more catching up to do.

  • GET WREEEECKED!

  • this anime looks like a complete pile of shit.

  • check out nonito donaire...

  • HAHAHAHAHA the sound effects....<<DEAD<< LoLz

  • Pyro..

  • awww snap... hi darren

  • It needs to be said.... Bitch got DempseyRoll'd.

    :D

  • this scene gives me goosebumps no matter how many times i watch it.

  • lol Ippo's face in the end.

    "How's that motherfucker?"

  • actually anime like hajime no ippo is much exciting to watch than those magical super human ability..although its a bit exaggerated ( technique like this) but actually this was really use by real person in boxing, the dempsey roll was real deal...anime like slamdunk and hajime no ippo are more exciting to watch and also promote sports as well

  • This is by far the best anime i have ever seen. Seen the entire series 4 times already and its always a pleasure to see it again.

Btw, i love the sound of the plane turbine when he does the Dempsey Roll :D

  • ippo's face at the end

  • goose bumps !!

  • That guard looks gay

  • How is that man's head still attached to his head! I wish real boxing made this much sense.

  • dempsey roll is me a chill up my spine, such a amazing move to watch :D

  • spectacular :P

i watched a few fights of Jack Dempsey too, he is like 160cm and knocks out 2m tall opponents by hitting just a few swings like that, just amazing.

  • @DarkRezo Actually he was 1.85 cms which is considered a small height in Heavyweight class. But yeah, it was amazing.

  • @Joeman807 1.85cm that is bloody short.

  • Hajime no Ippo is the only anime/manga that made me search Jack Dempsey

  • @heelsoverhead0280 What other anime would make you do that? xD

  • @heelsoverhead0280 same as me

  • Goosebumps...this shit gives me goosebumps!

  • this the best

  • Real boxing did use to be like this, LordTrivium. Unlike most mythologizing depictions, which bear little relation to the way their subjects actually look, this pretty much looks like a more muscular cartoon Dempsey. His 'Championship Fighting' is still available as an ebook. Now Im watching the rest of this animation.

  • Lol this is Demspey Roll x10 with that epic sound.

  • ausssss bagsak...

  • Why can't real boxing be like this??? Oh wait... yes... people would die...

  • @LordTrivium89

    Jack Dempsey did it

  • @LordTrivium89 you stole that you bitch....lol.

  • @LordTrivium89 you probably are looking for Nonito Donaire my friend.

  • @LordTrivium89 not really, since then they will be able to defend it like in here and be able to take it like here.

  • @LordTrivium89 actually boxing was like that and people did die.

  • @LordTrivium89 Watch the Jack Dempsey vs. Jess Willard match... so brutal

  • @LordTrivium89 but it is. there are lots of boxers that can do this and even better.

  • @LordTrivium89 Well, it's just exaggerated to enhance the viewers experience, since Real Boxing doesn't give the audience much sometimes, by adding little touches it lets the audience feel each impact and know that each punch can be devastating.

  • @3:20

    "..well folks...that man is dead."

  • From now on. All real life boxing matches should have jet engine background noises.

  • because of this anime i learned to box! how many other amies have made people go out and do something? other then dress like idiots or sit in a field by yourself convinced you can go super sayan regardless of the fact your not a syan..fml xD

  • @Bodybuddha You tried to go super saiyan didn't you? you know u did. we all did when we were younger.

  • @chesspro22k yes =( i also tried to make the energy ball thing appear in my hands xD i miss being 12 =(

  • @Bodybuddha yea i wanna learn how to box to im going to enroll this summer!

  • @Bodybuddha dude! i totally understand. I started taking martial arts 2 years ago because of History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi.

  • @Bodybuddha lol repect

  • @Bodybuddha I feel the same about "Slam Dunk" and basketball :P

  • @Bodybuddha me too going to start tennis this summer because of prince of tennis

  • @Bodybuddha Loool

  • @Bodybuddha actually dragon taught me a lot about fighting

  • @Bodybuddha

prince of tennis made me pick up a racket and try a jump serve ......... never got a hit inside the box

  • @Bodybuddha then you should read the manga kenji

  • @Bodybuddha well said well said

  • @Bodybuddha ikr!!! shows like this and kenichi just make you wann go out and do it just because their so awesomly epic!!

  • @Bodybuddha yea i agree with u, because of anime i learned how to play basketball haha

  • hmm they should have put inner light when the dempsey roll started.. :)

  • 2:34 is fucking maad

  • Okay from now on all boxing matches should have the sound of jet engines in the background.

  • he said naruto !at 0:44

  • its so cool. you cant help but cheer ippo on :D

  • Ippo can kill Manny Pacquiao

  • @specs0530 LOL. funny comment but naah Pacquiao ftw.

  • @SoCoMzXeLiTe haha..

  • @specs0530 even mayweather lol what a troll

  • Sugoi da

  • man i love this shittt

  • I love this move. In my boxing class, I knock someone out with it even though I couldn't do it right. I'm working on it though. I still feel like the match was an unfair match because I was a heave weight and he was a light weight. My real opponent didn't show up so my coach just had someone fight me. Maybe next time I use it the match wont be so unfair for the other person and I can do it correctly and improve.

  • creo k este wey si le gana a manny paquio !!!!!!!!!jaaajajajajajajjajaaja

  • @solitarylonewolf Where do you think they got the idea for his move? This anime.

  • @robertsrashad lol, or they saw jack dempsey boxing:P

  • This reminds me of Dudley's Rolling Thunder... same camera angle and everything.

  • @limage84 ima ko you out like that watch! pussY

  • jet sounds and sound breaking punches make anything sound good, lol, still great start to rehashing these frames for the rest of the anime

  • so epicly awesome

    love it

  • OH MY FUCKING GOD YES

  • Inner light sounding as background made this one of the most epic anime scenes i've seen in my entire life.

  • Isn't Jack Dempsey's boxing great?! xDD

  • I get the shits everytime i watch this

  • Shadow Clone Jutsu!!! oops wrong anime :)

  • @TheUgatan Jajajajaja

  • whats wrong with there eyes jesus christ

  • and that is why he is nicknamed the God of Wind O_O

  • God i love this clip. just the fact that they couple Ippo's movements with a jet engine starting up is amazing...

  • @EmeraldIsleStar Tyson wasn't the first fighter to use peek-a-boo.

Neither was Jack the first fighter to roll under punches.

You should know that, otherwise you don't watch boxing.

  • @EmeraldIsleStar then who? please tell me and give me the source (note: if it's Wikipedia then it's not accepted)

  • IPPO: SHINEE SHINEESHINEESHINEESHINEESHINEE....SHINEEEEAAAAh

  • at 2:47 he broke his guard

  • I love the look ippo gives him after he knocks him down

  • GOOSEBUMPS

  • why was the coach surprised of the dempsey roll? the pee-a-poo style founded by mike Tyson was adapted from Jack Dempsey's Dempsey Roll. so it's not surprising that ippo learned the Dempsey roll by himself when all he was taught was mike Tyson's style

  • @Saikejo It's "peek-a-boo"... and you gotta remember that this is IPPO. He's never really developed a technique on his own before this point. The only thing he really did was the no-motion uppercut and that was just in desperation.

  • @RBrim08 opps, typo sorry about that. but still you get the point of the peek-a-boo style so i'll cut to the chase, mike tyson originally used it to imitate jack dempsey's dempsey roll. am i wrong? i feel so wrong on this

  • @Saikejo Tyson was influenced by Dempsey's bobbing and weaving style, 'aggresive defense' moves in order to get inside.

The Peek-A-Boo Style is a style used that enables the user to throw punches easier from the face. It incorporates punching with 'bad intentions' and slipping (moving side to side, laterally) in order to get close.

Tyson was only influenced, the peek-a-boo style isn't influenced by Dempsey, nor does it imitate Dempsey's style.

  • @Saikejo Cus D'amato, search him and research.

The previous youngest champion ever (heavyweight) Floyd Patterson was also taught by Cus.

He, although a taller fighter, incorporated the Peek-a-boo style most of the time too.

He fought before Tyson, Tyson isn't the founder, he's simply another user, and a highly effective user at that! xD

Cus taught most of the fighters if not all in his CS gym to utilise the peek-a-boo style irrespective of height.

  • @GodOnStrike thanks for the info. wow i knew about mike tyson's coach but i didn't know the story of his coach.

  • @Saikejo No problem bro.

Yeah there's alotta depth to Cus, one of the best mentors/trainers ever.

  • @GodOnStrike :D there's also some innovations

  • I'm sorry, but I'll have to say that the Rocky series really can't hold a candle to ippo.

  • @piggypoo Rocky's awesome.

Comparing a movie to an anime sounds silly o.O

  • i always gets goosebump when i watch this

  • Comment removed

  • @FrauseGinrai yea

  • @FrauseGinrai Not goosebumps but eyes water a little during awesome moments. Just like certain moments in dragon ball z and other shounen anime.

  • @FrauseGinrai u damn right..

  • @ZUDORASA for sure i'm

  • the animation, sound, characters indeed the best anime so far.

  • @zaistrumentals It's the second best sports anime even. Slam Dunk is even better.

  • @Effortlessful

    Spammy troll comment.

  • @Haheehahohaheehoha Why? It's my genuine opinion. Slam Dunk is a classic, and one of few series where the majority of the characters can be idolized. In Hajime no Ippo you have Ippo and Takamura basically that stick out. Maybe Miyata too. Still, it's a level behind Slam Dunk.

As for the best anime ever, you're moving into completely different terrain. Monster, Great Teacher Onizuka, NANA, Neon Genesis Evangelion etc.

  • @Effortlessful

    Yeah, I stand uncorrected.

Someone else praises the anime in the video in question here and you pounce on it saying that they're wrong and that the title of "best sports anime" belongs to something completely and utterly unrelated to this.

Not to mention all of the other irrelevant shows you cared to try and advertise. Spam if I ever did see it.

  • @Effortlessful did i say best sports anime?

  • @zaistrumentals

yes slam dunk is good but hajime no ippo is still the best. slam dunk is good cuz its your childhood anime and shiit..

  • now imagine this with ur fists no gloves :D

  • rly episode 64?

  • MAKUNOUCHI!!!!!!!

  • @greedorpride btw what is the name of the enemy?
