shit, i wonldn't care tht much the only thing tht would piss me off is not knowin once i knew i wouldnt care. broke ppl go around puttin phone bills nd shit in their childrens' names I'd rather have a pig farm! lol
Wasn't there more to this episode? I seem remember his later telling her that his father had been doing some illegal things and that he was taking the fall for him.
You know what's so amazing is that Nicholas Coster who played Mr. Warner appeared on 12 Soap Operas from the 1960's to The Present. He played Elliott Carrington on Another World, Eduardo Grimaldi on As The World Turns, and even appeared on All My Children. The Actress who played her Mother is Marj Dusay who appeared on Santa Barbara, All My Children but is probably best known for playing Alexandra Spaulding on Guiding Light. In Fact Three Soap Opera Actors appeard on FOL.
@BettinaBalser Tom Elpin as Jake McKinnon on Another World and As The World Turns, Michael Damien from The Young & The Restless, and Peter Reckell on Days Of Our Lives. It makes me so angry when Rich Folks try to cover their earnings and the like and it makes me so sad when I hear about Rock Stars getting in trouble for not paying their taxes and being delusional to believe that their "Managers" take care of them and they don't. Willie Nelson, Ronald Isley and Billy Joel found that out.
@UmbertoPenis No, it's a Spin-Off of Diff'rent Strokes. Also, keep in mind after the success of Little Darlings Starring Krisy McNichol and Tatum O'Neal not to mention Foxes The Facts Of Life became very successful.
I like how this episode implies that rich people cheat the government when the reality is they wouldn't have to do that if the government kept their nose outta their money to begin with.
Poor Blair! Her father just used her, her mother used her as a sitter for her baby sister Bailey. She even got proposed to by some guy, why did she turn him down? After Lisa grew up and got married, she became a successful woman she is a womans minister she has three children and a good looking husband who is also a minister.
i am the ultimate trust fund baby, but all legal, this is wrong. my dad always says if you do not lie then anything wrong would be a mistake,.rich poor be real.
I really like this show. This episode was more showing like how Blair's father used her.
Did anybody else notice what they did? They showed Jo going with her father spending time, and Jo is on a scholorship and her family doesnt have a lot of money.
Blairs father never comes and uses her name to reduce his taxes.
Wow clearly this girl has never been poor... and it's not that big of a deal. So what he owns things in her name? She belongs to his family, doesn't she? She profits from the money it earns, doesn't she? So what the hell is she whining about??
Obviously you never had a dad who cared more about stuff than about his child! He used her, the things she thought her did out of love, he did to have a tax write-off. No wonder she is upset.
he's using her for money, the end shows that he doesn't want to spend time with her, versus the happy family who happens to be goldiggers as you suggests. It's also teaching her to be a golddigger and put money first. He buys people off she's going to learn to do the same instead of love or companionship.
Lastly if it were in her name as an adult she may be the one going to jail.
This episode was a harsh wake-up call for Blair. But it's very naive of her to still believe Daddy pulls $10K out of nowhere to give her every month as an allowance. I don't pity her; it's welcome to the Real World.
That is the first time I ever felt sorry for Blair...
On a side note,I think it would suck to have to go to boarding school unless it was what the kid really wanted. It seems like the parents don't really want to raise their kids if they send them away like that...hmmm...
Not necessarily. Board school teaches a child self-reliance, getting along with others, managing their time. It can be growth experience. As for what the child wants, when you're a child, it's expected that parents know what's best. Children are EDUCATED in a boarding school, not raised. I know, because I went to one and never felt lacking for parental contact
Yeah, but I als know of a woman who sent her daughters to a fine boarding school. When they made it into college, she thought they would come and spend the summer with her. She wanted to bond with them. They found apartments instead (far away from her) to live before the semester started. She was real sad and didn't understand why they didn't want to stay with her. They were grown, when they needed a mom around, all they had was a headmistress.
"It's my...father" is something that sadly, I can so relate to since my family has quite a bit of money and gives some of it to me w/o really talking about it. That money has always been a subsitute for actual love and I'm only now beginning to feel the effects of such a situation.
