As an American living in Canada I am very impressed by the Canadian health care system and the "attitude" discussed in this video. The Canadian system is not without problems, but there are attempts to address the individual deficits. Not sure that is true in the U.S. And the bottom line - that no one is excluded from health care - is the only humane way to provide health care. The U.S. will never solve IT'S systemic problems until it adopts single payer Medicare-for-all.
Tommy Douglas, the Saskatchewan politician who pushed for universal health care in Canada was voted the Greatest Canadian. We see medical care as a right. The MD's here aren't looking to make a fortune, but a very comfortable living. I like the fact that our GP's can handle most maladies. The idea is to never stop learning, right?
