yeah today i was driving my 95 dodge ram 1500 with no cats and two true dual glass packs during my hour off at school and while goin up the hill by the school and a cop was standing the i didnt notice i stepped on it just echoing off the building and i look over while coasting theres a cop yelling stop right there and when he walked up to the door he asked me whats wrong with ur foot idk y i said this but i did its heavy. and now next time he hears it i got a ticket so i tink imgettinsometickets

@GameUrg you do know that if the cat. is cut off then gas mileage goes to aroung 9 mpg because there isnt enough back pressure for the O2 sensors to read right and therefore causing it to run rich and have a check engine light on all the time right? Stick to your chevys dumbass.

@12vcumminsdiesel its called a rev limmiter... and if you take it off you would just over rev your motor and blow it up!!! it keeps your motor rpm's from going to high and killing your engine

@a8689b1 from what i know as long as ya gotta catalytic converter its legal so you dont need the mufflers, or ya can jus find a dirty inspection station like i do & not have cats or mufflers lol

@THENCSASQUATCH or do what i did. put headers in my 93 gmc v6 and then cut off the cat muffler and exhaust period then rode around like that for about 4 months and got a lot of headaches....then found out wanted to charges $140 for dual straight pipes out the back. so i sold the truck.

if you are getting one get a manual, the autos aren't great but the manuals are pretty good, i haven't ever had a problem with them

the transmissions are just as good as any other truck...just take care of it and do your regular maintenance.... the main things that go are the rear diff if you have an lsd

thanks man! it was a catback exhaust. around 300 w/ install. it was a glasspack dualed out . but if you get a muffler it would probably be an extra $100 or so. right now im running flowmaster super 40 single in dual out and dumped. sounds real good and deep imo. and about the nerf bars, not sure what brand they are but you can easily search on the internet and find a good pair that look like mine.

your truck sounds like it has a flowmaster. holy i didnt know that having a smaller glasspack would make that big difference of a sound. my truck with a 30 inch glass pack sounds much deeper but its pretty quiet to my standards. is your cat gutted

yep, the smaller the glasspack the louder. also all the glasspacking was blew out. i've had all the 40 series muffler's that flowmaster makes and compared to the glasspack, i like it better. But i would like to try the super 44 and see how that one goes....and nope my cat is not gutted.

its an 01' Off-Road Edition which they come stock with a 2" factory suspension lift and those are 33's.

i preferably like the glasspack better, its louder than the flowmaster, but flowmaster has a good line of mufflers too. i've had all the 40 series mufflers and they were all great....a glasspack would be the cheapest. what kind of sound are you looking for?

lol, well if you want cheap the glasspacks would be your best bet but they aren't deep. just louddd!...i use to have a cherry bomb extreme and that was a bad ass muffler, they run about 50 buck but i got rid of it because it killed me in mpg.
