Arguably Hallowe'en is a Pictish-originated festival, rather than Celtic and Scottish immigrants to US probably brought more Hallowe'en aspects than Irish, but so what...but it's probably a mix! Great that folks celebrate it, so origins secondary to this! Though use a NEEP (turnip!) lantern as I did as a kid, rather than a pumpkin (ah WHAT?!lol)
@archykins : oh don't get me started on the candy! :) I need to take it to work so I can stop looking at it. :) ...hmmm maybe I should give turnips another chance - to eat - not carve :)

i agree with you so much it hurts...although the pain may be due from the candy....XD thanks for the info. i really enjoyed that :D
