That is essentially what OWS is also all about --- if you talk to a lot of the protestors in NYC, their fury at the current economic injustice that was caused by the political and corporate financial elite is encouraging them to seek alternate modes of thinking and living. They believe that the current economic model of capitalism that is based upon a lie is broken----it enslaves the great majority of people while perpetuating an unjust class system that favours 1-10% of the population.
The portapotties are not provided by the city. We pay for them with donations. That's 150$ per month for 2 toilets, 50$ per emptying for each. We've got 5 of them now so you do the math.
I overheard while there that the portable toilets are paid by the protesters at $600/day. Anyways, we are glad to show our solidarity with Americans on this. Good luck to OWS.
@palanzano We're not doing it just to support OWS, this is about people worldwide reclaiming what's rightfully theirs: their land, their decisional power, their economies, their politics, etc...
