  • Nice operating practices you got there. Lid

  • 146.760 PL 123.0HZ try us in Columbus monitor all the time KD8NVS 73's

  • i dont kerchunk repaters any more because i stay on hf most of the time on 3.823 with the good ole boys

  • our repeater does get kerchunking abuse but i mean the fcc wont do anything unless they are contacted by a repeater trustee or another ham who has a complaint and even then they'll just tell you not to do it again and threaten you with fines so everyone quit complaining you have done it to i'm sure of it nobody is perfect

anyways 73's check out my band opening vid

    kd0fmg

  • 2 meter band is open in missouri evening of 4.28.09

  • hello comment on my own video. hey, most of the repeater in that band opening are linked together and some are far away and i don't hit them until a band opens so it is all cool know the repeater link owner and the indivial owner that owns the salyersville repeater they dont mind this to prove a ponit of a qwick video for band opening. 73's kj4aqv kevin

  • Very nice repeaters out there in america. I have nothing to say on keychunking as i dont do it but every one to there own mate. Name is james located norwich norfolk UK. We dont get repeaters like that. :) 5star

  • thank you very much for the positive comment, I thalt i was going to have to delete the video. Every one of us hams do something stupid like kerchunking a reperters we are only human. In my book it is ok for educational reasons like this to show every one how cool it is. 73 to all hams KJ4AQV, Extra

  • "In your book?" You need to go back and study, because you're overlooking a little book called the FCC Rules Part 97. :)

Doing something stupid implies accidental; these transmissions were intentional. Ok, so maybe you really didn't know, that's fine. Hams are self-policing, so the ops who have taken you to task are doing their duty. It's better than getting served with an FCC NAL!

If you want to hit those machines, fine, but you MUST also transmit your callsign. That's the law. 73 :)

  • Give the kid a break. Like you guys NEVER ker-chunked a repeater.

Kid - band openings on 2m can be fun, but you should try 6m. You will do more than hear a couple states over, you will work the world . I have worked all 50 states and now 80 countries in just a couple years - WITHOUT any F2 assistance (all sporadic E).

73 and have fun on the bands

  • Not without immediately following it with my call, no I haven't.

Telling him this is okay is doing him a disservice -- unless you are really wanting him to hang himself down the line?

  • Hey, guy... "kerchunking" repeaters is not cool. You don't want to be a lid.

I see from your profile that you're only 18, but you hold an Extra class license and should be setting a better example.

  • Very good amateur practice, excellent way to tie up a repeater needlessly. It is rapidly becoming apparent that the CB practice is permanently en grained into your feeble little mind. This is not a CB, there is no room for this practice. Go back to playing "mud duck"

  • I love to play mud duck and am "proud" of it. It's more fun than how is the weather in my opinion. And just because you talk on the cb bands doesn't make you feeble. You should love every one.And treat this man with a little respect and kindness. We all make mistakes
