Brilliant ad, great fun. But what's up with the fucking censorship of the audio track, YouTube? That is some WEAK shit. Did Warner's actually ask for that to be censored? Or did you just prior-restraint that shit yourself?
anyone know of a hitchcock movie where a woman finds a magical neckolace and when she tells people to shut up everyone freezes and when she says start talking they go back to normal....anyone know the name of that ??????
No problem. As I recall, it was actually the first episode, although I could be remembering that wrongly. I think the series, at least some of it, might even have been released on DVD recently.
This is really great. I mean really, really great. And it looks like it cost an amazing amount of money to produce. SO, what I want to know is what was said or done to the marketing director at Freixenet to get him or her to say, yeah, we'll pay for that, we'll do that. I ask only because I try to convince my clients to have such enormous size balls.
In my opinion i strongly believe that Mr. Scorsese preserved Hitchcock's script and also enhanced it with his master vision. One more reason why i can't stop loving Scorsese's work.
Opening scene had Scorsese's vision written all over it, and than Marty just knew how Alfred would've seen the following scenes with Marty throwing his own touch into it. I LOVE IT!
We knew exactly what you meant. That's why we're telling you that this whole thing is actually a commercial (which you apparently didn't get). There is no "lost" Hitchcock script, and this isn't a movie. It's an ad for wine.
Take 80% of the filmmakers in the world now and ask him "Who do you think is the most influential filmmaker of all time?" - the answer is 'Alfred Hitchcock'. Thousands of people can make the 'alfred hitchcock style part' but what makes the film most interesting is that it was made by Scorsese and how he made a fool out of himself. As one of the greatest filmmakers ever, he is always there to entertain and surprise...:D
No. I think he is merely one of the biggest if not the biggest fan of Hitchcock. And to show his love to Hitchcocks talent in moviemaking, Scorsese made The Key To Reserva as he thinks he would have done it.
This is retarded. Mr.Scorsese must be going senile. To take Hitchcock technique choices and to try to reproduce them in a random and pastiche like manner just shows a profound lack knowledge about what made him great in the first place. If its suppose to be a joke I recommend you watch Mel Brooks' High Anxiety. It is done with a lot more class and intelligence. Boo for Mr.S.

The pacing was way off. Felt like a commercial. The acting was unintentionally comedic. Also, Hitchcock never payed THAT much homage to himself, so Scorese was clearly NOT making the film that Hitch would have made. I did like the birds at the end, though.

What a facile travesty! What an upsetting trick. Can't believe Scorcese sold out. Beyond depressing, and I've lost respect for him and that brand. Pure waste of time, or how you say, crap.
I have to admit I was a little disappointed to see it was a corporate advertisement. Still, can you imagine if even one out of a hundred television ads were this good?
haha well maybe it was the same style, but nowhere close to hitchcocks artistry, thats all i am saying. I hope you dont think that scorsese can actually duplicate what Hitchcock did.

It does feel like an amalgam of Hitchcock motifs but that's not necessarily bad or anything. When he falls over the balcony's edge, it reminded me of Saboteur's finale at the Statue of Liberty. Also, the camera flash re-calls Jimmy Stewart in Rear Window's finale.
