  • Love his voice!!!! Best version ever :D Japanese is such a wonderful language, it´s really touching ^^

  • Erm Erm, can I please know the seiyuu for Moses? It says in ANN that it's Tomokazu Seiki, but when he sings it sounds like Morikawa Toshiyuki

  • My middle name is Nozomi.

  • Doesn't ouji mean prince?

  • @JKR9509-Yes it is.

  • A few kanjis in the description are wrong.

    Ie is 家

    Tsuyoku is 強く

Watashi (you can write hiragana or Kanji) is 私

  • I love the Japanese versions of the songs of this movie but for some reason, I can't find the english version of this song on YouTube....isn't that weird?

  • Ugh, has the whole internet not gotten past Level 1 Japanese?

Plenty of Japanese guys use "watashi." It's not girly. That's not how it works. Atashi is girly. Ore is manly. Boku is kind of boyish. Watashi is neutral. It is as neutral as you can get. It's kind of formal. Not as formal as watakushi. There are five bajillion other personal pronouns for "I/my/me" that you could go through. I think they're just trying to show that he speaks a little formally because he' a prince.

  • @nadiaff I'm gonna go out on a limb and say about half of them got their knowledge base of Japanese language and culture from anime. The nuances between the various pronouns have to be explained, and no anime is going to tell a Japanese audience what they already know.

  • lol why is he using the " watashi" form that is mostly used by girls ( thats what l´ve heard), shouldn´t he use "bokuwa" or "orega"?

  • voice is too manly for my liking even tho it's a nice voice!

  • Are there Jwish Japanese? I really want to know.

  • @David717717 I think so. Probably more enthic than maybe practicing Jews. There could be some on Military bases, or people who have moved there.

  • @David717717 I had a friend back in high school who's father was japanese but mother was jewish! That technically by Jewish laws means that she is Jewish. But she didn't like either culture so she just ignored her background. xD

  • @David717717 , who knows, everything is not in black and white you know.

    ;-)

  • Lol it says Hikaru and Kaoru in the lyrics. XD From ouran high school host club. Totally random, but I just had to blurt it out.

  • Northern africa are more intergrated with europe and asia so maybe there colour is slightly different but i think moses is made the right colour considering he was raised in egypt.

  • To this little argument, I can't help but put in that...

Africa is a continent. Egypt is in Africa.

NOT. All. People. In/On Africa. HAVE to be black. (Even though you get a lot of sun and it's close...but still :D)

(Have you been to South Africa lately? lmao xD)

  • They still made the characters white.. ridiculous. This is a place in Africa with black people

  • technically it's Egyptians(in africa I know.) and Hebrews.

    Hebrew-as in Isreal. Not Africa.

  • i just want to remind you... egypt is near israel and they both are not in the part of the black people in africa.. its more like middle sea area.. asia etc... and the egyptions of today are not the egyptions you can see in the movie... alo differenet nation...

  • It's spelled Egyptian and you should really work on your grammar.

  • Eygpt is a country in Africa. Just because it's shifted off doesn't make it not part of africa anymore, thats the equivalent of saying "japan isn't part of asia, they're pacific islanders." which would be entirely accurate going by the logic people are trying to justify Eygpt's classification. It's not the middle east. Middle Eastern people are a majority population that live there and had children with the indigenous Eygptians, making the population what it is today. They're still Africans.

  • Moses came from Israel, they are not black.

  • That depends upon your definition of black. So let me put it this way. Moses was not white

  • Well, i dont think he look white in the movie, I think he look typically Hebrew. With dark eyebrows, dark eyes etc.

  • OK you win that one

  • Can you tell me what font type you used? It's rather classy.

  • Font type? Are you reffering to the japanese letters? They have 4 methods of typing.

    Romanji. (Roman letters)

    Hiragana. ひらがな

    Katakana. カタカナ

    Kanji. 感じ

  • No. I'm referring to font type.

  • @baphometasa-Kanji in Japanese is 漢字

  • I don't understand any word ^^

  • :59

he says "Smelly dogs like to lick my face."

  • Nozomu subete= "everything I want" or "everything I have wanted"

  • sound weird but kool

  • Tsuki ni hikaru = in the moonlight

  • This version and the hebrey version are the best.

  • CDが手元に無いので、確かな日本語の歌詞かはわかりませんが、聞いた限りですと、以下の単語が正しい物です。 このしろな ->このしろが(kono shiro ga) *しろ=城=castle わが言え ->わがいえ(waga ie) *我が家=my home 津用く ->つよく(tsuyoku) *強く=strongly 英語が解らないので、英語訳のところが合っているか不安ですが、参考にどうぞ!
  • i looooove the voicing for him!

  • Me too.

In my opinion, he sounds a lot like Val Kilmer ^^

  • This sounds so amazing...

  • The lyrics you subbed them with were wrong :-$

    sorry :-|

  • I mean they were in Hiragana ...

  • I LOVE this soooo much!!!! One of my favorite versions!! :D Soo Beautiful!!!!

  • Cool. 日本語わ磯合しですよね?

  • Really beautiful, thx for uploading!

  • First of all, I'd like to thank you for posting up this song! ;)

It's by far my favorite song in Japansese version. Thanks a lot for posting it!!

I'd like to help out my polishing up the lyrics a bit, the dictation is correct for 99% of the entire lyric. However, some of the Kanji -- and therefore the Japanese grammer & message from the lyric, may have been mistaken.

Please allow me to post the corrected (based entirely on my knowledge on this language) Japanese lyric and its translation :)

  • 月(つき)に光る(ひかる)、見慣れた(みなれた)この城(しろ)が、望み(のぞみ)なのか?

This palace which the moon always shines upon, is this what I wished for?

    甘く(あまく)香る(かおる)、広い(ひろい)石(いし)の部屋(へや)が、望み(のぞみ)なのか?

This spacious room made by stone, which the sweet insense always flow within, is this what I wish for?

  • 我(わ)が家(いえ)、父(ちち)と母(はは)と兄(あに)、気高く(きたかく)、強く(つよく)

    私(わたし)は、価値(かち)ある物(もの)に囲まれ(かこまれ)ている

I am surrounded by all the things of great riches.

    もし占う(うらなう)は間違って(まちがって)いる

Unless the oracle had been wrong.

  • 私(わたし)こそは王子(おうじ)、誇り(ほこり)高い(たかい)歴史(れきし)を刻む(キざむ)壁(かべ)

I, am the Prince, upon all the walls carved with splended history.

    確かに(たしかに)、この私(わたし)が 望む(のぞむ)すべて望んだ(のぞんだ)物(もの)

Yes, for sure, this is all the things that I wished for.

  • was that Tomokazu Seki? O_O man, what a deep voice o_0

  • what?! ... like for me, it doesn't sounds like Seki.. did you find out who voice is it?

  • well, animenewsnetwork says it is him who does the voice, but it doesn't say that it's him singing. Tho, my bro says it does sound like him, I dunnno O_o

  • Oh Man! Does the Japanese language use masculine and feminine words aswell? That's so annoying!!! X[ What's the point? it just confuses people.

  • no it dosent.

  • this lyrics doesnt iclude kanji, this is wrong.

  • 月に光る

    見慣れたこのしろな

    望みなのか

    甘く香る

    広い石の部屋が

    望みなのか

    わが言え

    父と母と兄

    気高く津用く

  • わたしは

    かちあろものに囲まれている

    もし疑うなら町が手いる

    わたしこそは応じ

    誇り高い歴史を

    刻む壁

    確かにこのわたしが

    望むすべて

    望んだもの

  • Yeah, I know it, man.. That's because when I wrote it, I wasn't got used to write them. It was very hard to type kanji in my computer. Now, I have installed the Asian Language Windows Pack, and now, It's very easy to use them. Oh, and thanks for the Kanji lyrics!

  • I'm not an expert on Japanese but isn't Watashi Wa used mostly by women? o-o

  • Baah, nevermind. << My friend gave me the answer.

  • Well, I'm not an expert in Japanese as well, but, as long as I understand, Watashi can be use for both genders. But you have "Atashi", for women and "Boku" for men. There is also "Ore", more informal than Watashi, which can be used by the 2 genders too..

At least, it's what I've learnt..

    Thanks for everything.

  • Ore is used exclusively by men; women don't use it.

  • @Micaelmag no, ore is only used by men

watashi is mostly used by women, but men use it to sound polite(cultural implication?)

  • @Micaelmag Well, "Ore" is actually rude in most "real-life" circumstances, and it's more likely to be used by guys.

  • @Micaelmag "Ore" in the city area is mainly used by males. It's not rude unless used when speaking to someone of higher stature. But where my grandparents live, it's part of the dialect. So my grandmother uses "ore" in her speech, and all kinds of other informal phrases. It's actually really, really, really weird for us when she uses the normal dialect.

  • @Micaelmag Ore and Boku are specifically male-gender used, but lately, there has been an overlap, such as girls using boku now to sound "tomboyish", perhaps more American. So watashi is also used with men as well. But I think in this case, watashi wa sounds very formal, since he is a prince, ore would sound too boastful, that would probably be something Remeses would use, and boku would sound too childish. :)

  • @Rakuei Watashi wa is just "I am" in a unisex, informal way. "Watakushi wa" is the formal.

  • Even tho i only speak a few words of japanese i still like it

  • I think that japanese version of this song is the best version of all version

  • sugoi means GREAT.

  • waaaaa, sugoooi version! XD

    thanks n0n

    see ya

  • Thanks for the japanese version ^__^
