We all may be 'intelligent, sentient beings', but we may have vastly different ways to communicate: So the ants/squirrels analogy takes into consideration different species as well as a form of communication that may not be as easy to grasp or for us to communicate with them easily.

@chibiariel I'm sure you've heard this before, but the key to communicating with them is consciousness. Literally, all you have to do is go out at night..or during the day (open countryside is probably better in day light..i.e not near urban centres) and ask to see them. That is quite literally it. I had several incredible contact experiences (only craft) last Aug/Sep the first couple seemed very coincidental though they could have been explained away by easily by debunkers...

You're avoiding what I was saying. These "lights" are solid because they have been detected by radar for prolonged periods of time. Spectral analysis shows that they are a plasma which needs to be contained by a very strong magnetic field. What are they? I think these observations are a little more intruiging than the question why they should turn on or turn off their lights. They might have their lights on all the time, but then in a part of the spectrum that we can't see..

The Mexican army has detected flying lights that could only be seen using infrared and the space shuttle has detected strange moving lights in space which the astronauts couldn't see. And the space shuttle camera can see deep into the ultraviolet spectrum of light. It might be so that when they are travelling at high speeds, the plasma is charged more which then results in light that cannot be seen with our human eyes.

@awdat Some of his other talks include some specifics wrt the Betty and Barney Hill case. Reportedly, Betty Hill saw a diagram of star systems, that appeared to be a sort of trade route. The stars did not match up with anything in the northern hemisphere, but someone thought to match them up with the stars in the southern hemisphere, and apparently there was a correlation that included Zeta Reticuli, which is what he's talking about.

Stanton has always taken a literal interpretation of the phenomenon. In this sense, his formal physics training is a disadvantage. None of the paranormal manifestations comprise mass, so Einstein/Newtonian physics doesn't apply. The motivation behind the phenomenon is much more complex than what Stanton espouses.
