This is my first time of listening to Franco's last stage performance. O Lord, all the commentaries befit the mood. That was not the Real African Franco O.K. Jazz playing that guitar. Congo music lovers and those who understand Lingalla still enjoyed the music. No one can yet underestimate Late Mr. Franco in the music industry.
wow, this was terrible..i wish there were images to see how he was looking while he played that solo :o c triste vraiment, mais je crois ke c'etait juste pour dire au revoir a ces fans

Oh God! i din't have had a chance to see him perform because i was born in 1980.He died in 1989 i was only 9yrs.To me franco is history. My dad has alot of his best songs in our home library i can't skip a day without listening to his music. What a talented guitarist he was?his voice was out of this world i tell you. What could be the decease that took the life of this african king of music? i love you Mr.Makiadi the oh tears, tears, tears flow out of my eyes whenever your music is played .RIP
Thanks AboubacarSiddikh for this moment, like we say in lingala mabele mokonzi. I'm glad that this is not the end of history. For the bible says in Acts 24:15" ...qu’il va y avoir une résurrection tant des justes que des injustes"
na moment oyo le grand maitre azalaki malade makasi mais soki abetaki nakanisi ezalaki juste po amona public pona mbala suka, respect! molimo na ye epema na kimia.
Do u guys have or know anybody who by chance have his Funeral's video? I was born on his 50th Birthday, and never saw his Funeral's(my brother,my mom says, had Nightmares when he watched it on TV)
Guys, this is the moment when that metal bond between you and what you adore is put to test. Words can not describe enough. To sit here and watch this is as devastating as if I was there. Thanks for sharing with us Franco's last trip.
AboubacarSiddikh you must have been overwhelmed..............I wonder what I could have done myself. But I know I would never have had the strength even to dance except sob........
It was painful to watch and listen to this more than 20 years later i can not imagine what it was like being there. AboubacarSiddik I think you speak for most of us when you say, I am paraphrasing, that it was impossible not see everyone tearing. I think he knew he was doing a farewell for his beloved fans.
Franco was big in music but he was not strong enough to overcome the evils of the world. We all miss him, I do.
I feel like weeping. I don't know how it was like in the concert. The Grand Master never wanted to fail his fans that even when ill he was there to give real music. Luambo may your soul rest in eternal peace. Long Live Rumba, Long Live Franco and TPOK Jazz music. I will ever cherish Franco Music. Thank you AboubacarSiddikh.
This was almost too painful to listen to... it made me weep... we saw Franco perform only once, in NYC in the early 1980s... what a fabulous night that was... a memory to cherish. His music lives on.
con't 'I'm praying to God for this illness to go away as soon as possible,' he told an interviewer for the Dutch radio station VPRO after the show. 'I can't keep playing like this. I can only ask the public to excuse me for today. Maybe next year it will be different.'
AboubacarSiddikh . . . . I have waited for this kind of thing for 20 years!!! I have always wanted to know what happened to Luambo, just before he passed on . . . the hospital, his last wishes to us . . . . . his final journey home . . . . Most of us have never been able to see this . . . . . Thank you and thank you and thank you!!! I'm glad you were present when all this happened . . . . . To tell this sad story!!
Thank you so much for this and taking your time for the background information...must have been an extraordinarily testing and sad moment in his career and he took the time to say farewell...much appreciated and blessings to you.
A great artist,definitely lived before his time.RIP

Thank you Aboubacar for posting this.
I still don't know whether I should be sad or glad that I wasn't there that day... I had tears in my eyes watching.
