  • i'll bet this dumb fck shit bag ed had nothing but huge respect for dubya!!

    two faced fcking douchebag!

    GLENN BECK RULES..........

  • this guy clearly doesn't understand how the school system works

  • The disrespect that our president was given over this for no logical reason far out weighs any argument against his speech. My kid missed out on the historic live speech because of paranoia and lies! Most of the people that were opposed to this speech probably let their kids surf the net unregulated and watch shows like Family Guy and South Park. Hypocrisy is running a muck on the Right these days.

  • First off I agree that the speach should have been shown live in all American schools, I'm just saying that there is a lot more red tape involved in showing anything in a public school then people think, you don't just turn on a tv. School budgets are tight already, no thanks to the gov, and they can't afford law suits.

Oh, and also, hypocrisy is not exclusively right, the whole system is full of it.

  • It is insulting, but this is the reality of a racist, ignorant bunch of republicans. What they don't realize is a divided house cannot stand. It's out of control. Folk arm yourselves against the right-wing nuts.

  • the same thing happened when bush addressed children in 1991. why does this man pretend that never happened? hes misleading you and playing on your emotions

  • since when do politicians tell the truth? they always lie. i dont care who it is

  • Ed....what the hell happened to you man? wow

  • haha.. logistical problem.. priceless!! what a dimwit

  • George W. Bush read to kids on 911 as the twin towers fell, these parents didn't say diddly SQUAT.

But now that a smart black man wants to address their kids on the importance of staying in school and being successful, they are against it.

These parents MUST want to create more Limbaughs, Hannitys, O Reillys, Becks in the world

  • It's amazing that some idiots disguising as parents would listen to the likes of Glenn Beck, believing in the nonsense that is said about Obama, than using common sense, in trying to listen to what Obama himself is saying. I feel there has been more and more disrespect directed toward the President starting with Bush 41 being there, with some extreme liberals dissing him. This is nothing compared to what Obama is dealing with now, of course, with the right-wing attacking him with BS.

  • this guy must feel like a dOOsh supreme after seeing the way obOmba pulled a hitler today!

  • lets be honest, in this country you got people who could name you every past winner of american idol but god forbid if they could tell you who the last 10 u.s. president were, but god forbid the black president tell these dumb ass hicks they need to stay in school and learn something, next he's going to want to redesign the flag with the hammer and sickle!!

  • The thing that gets me is these people opposed to the speech probably let their kids watch shows like Family Guy and South Park. How could they be afraid of what the leader of the free world would say by comparison. This is truly a sad day for this Country.

  • the same thing as when the democrats investigated the bush address to children in 1991. grow up

  • The Democrats made no where near as big a deal as this new band of anti-Obama fringe looneys. You are the only one that needs to grow up and start telling the truth.

  • strange how the right wing has no problem with a president who reads my little goat with a second grade class AFTER being told the first plane hit the w.t.c.

  • hey hey hey, what are you french? we dont use logic in this country here frenchie!!

  • I have no kids. I am not a republican. Im an independant. I am also totally against Obama speaking to any kids telling them anything unless their parents bring them to an event on their own accord.

Is this not the parents decision? If a parent doesn't want this, then I respect that.

The notion that the president should be able to say whatever he wants without regard is absurd. He is accountable for what he says like anyone else addressing the kids.

  • I just try to put myself in the wayback machine and imagine if George W. were to do the same thing if anyone would have had a problem. I have a hard time believing there would have been a problem with Bush. I find this very disturbing.

  • They (Right wingnuts) just dont trust a 'coloured' man president or not...

One step forward, ten step back indeed!

  • lol I think they have more of a problem with his politics, stop being so racist.

  • I'm sure these idiot parents have no problem with their children hearing Rush Limbaugh or watching Glenn Beck, This is Scary!!

  • IGNORANCE! Like mexnuk said, there is too much paranoia on the right. This country is never going to change for the better if we keep taking one step forward and ten steps back. Common sense people-- If the president is going to be making a positive statement to the children of our country, it can only have a positive outcome. As a democrat, I certainly wouldn't have opposed to Bush making a positive statement.

  • Ed said it best, "...how times have change?" These parents should be ecstatic that the President is addressing their children with a positive message. The parents need to put their kids in private school as Ed said if they are so opposed to the President speaking at a PUBLIC school. There is definitely too much paranoia on the right. Get it together conservatives!
