I ordered the DVD and I am very happy with this buy. The explanations are great, the mirror gives you the necessary perspectives and I am learning faster as with my teacher in the regular class. The only thing that could be improved is the navigation through the lessons. But this is a minor issue compared to the other benefits mentioned before.
@jubyvera662 - This video was made for people looking for anything from basic instruction to more advanced. As a beginner, you would find it very helpful. M Thomas
@gladstoner420 - Thank you for the comment. This is precisely why the video was filmed in front of a mirror and I am glad to hear you find it helpful.
@TheRahan100 - It is better to get into a daily routine with Tai Chi. It is something that should be practiced with care and should be progressed as the days move forward. The full DVD provides you a 7-day lesson that would be better than this short video. I encourage you to considering purchasing a DVD as that is the best way for you to benefit from Tai Chi. M Thomas
Using a mirror in the back is the BEST idea ever! Most instructional videos are just facing forward and so I sometimes get my arms mixed up. Thank you very much!
@GreenEyedAngel3 - This video was created to help those who may not have previous experience practicing Tai Chi. I'm glad the mirror helps as that was my intention. Thank you for your input. M Thomas
I find it very annoying as I am trying to follow the video that these dialogue boxes keep popping up + covering the instructor's foot work so that I am unable to see what the instructor is doing! I understand that you have an important message to convey but you could place the dialogue box in another place other than right over the instructor's feet! Just saying!
@charkitte-Your are right! The Dialogue box is important, especially to the viewers who want to order a DVD, 187 Tai Chi Color digital images, Tai Chi and You digital book or other aids that are available to help anyone who has intent on improving their Tai Chi as well as their personal mental & physical health. Many viewers compliment the video due to the instructions given to the novice and want to have all 11 parts (as seen on YouTube) on one DVD. Thank you for your input. M.Thomas
so if buy your video this would be the standard series of Tai Chi moves that my class is probably learning? And, by the way, love your calming voice and how you repeat movements so we get a chance to practice the fluidity.
@smacdonn - This is only one part of an 11 part series that is available on one (1) Tai Chi DVD. Thank you for your compliment and viewing the video. M. Thomas
how great that you use a mirror! hardest part of my beginner tai chi class is when instructor does a full 180 and I end up facing away from her and can't see what she's doing!
@smacdonn - Thank you for viewing this video and the comment about showing this video with the mirror. I felt it was necessary to try and provide a 360 degree view of this instructional video. Thank you - M Thomas
This is awesome. I ordered this and it came so quickly. And now I finally have a chance to start the lessons. It is like having an instructor in your own home. The lessons are laid out easily and clearly. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I LOVE IT
I think it's amazing that you're going through so much for your daughters' future. I know how hard it is to struggle with finances when financial aid refuses to help; I still have 13 months + continuing education left and sometimes the bill is the only thing on my mind. I pray that the hard times become easier for you and yours.
@medic61310 - Thank you very much for your understanding. Many people do not have this type of understanding unless they have been in this situation. Paying for my daughter's education is difficult and very expensive. It really is difficult, especially if you are on a fixed income. Thank you - M Thomas
from Ruislip, Middlesex, England: M Thomas, Many Thanks for such an excellent, well thought through DVD and for the outstandding communication regarding delivery. This is my favourite DVD for Tai Chi Chuan - the pace and continual 'gentle' dialogue is just perfect - I don't find it boring when I re-run the DVD at certain points. What comes across is the sincerity toward the subject to Learn. It flows :o). Beautiful!
@TheRoksted - I hope that everyone understands the DVD as clearly as you do. The DVD was created to be simple and easy to understand, since this video is for the beginner. I hope that you continue to perform Tai Chi and involve other people. If other people are involved this could benefit anyone they come in contact with. Thank you - M Thomas
great video. I received it fast and great customer service. Recommended to everyone who is questioning whether or not to buy it. Elvis- Philadelphia, PA
This is awesome. I just ordered the DVD and the images. The pictures are perfect!! You are like a friend in my home teaching me. Ordering is sooo easy.
@Yika1000 - None of the viewing is blocked on the DVD. The viewing on the YouTube sampling has information for those who are interested in ordering the Tai Chi DVD and other material. Thank you - M Thomas
Hi ! I ordered the dvd on the 3rd dec and received it only a couple days ago ! I live in Saint Nazaire, France.
I've some health issues and was searching for a way to make exercise without hurting my fragile joints. I need to be carefull and know it's gonna be hard for me to perform all the movements properly but i guess Taiji quan is perfect for my situation and i want to give it a try.
So, Thank you a lot for this dvd, it's exactly what i was looking for, and the images are helpfull too !
@TichaMeow - This is an interesting question with complications, since their are 6,500 recorded languages and still counting. Languages in very remote and unexplored areas have yet to be discovered on this earth. Your idea would be nice but extremely difficult. Thank you - M Thomas
@TichaMeow - I recently found out how beneficial Tai Chi really is. My daughter was driving and I was sitting in the front seat of her car while stopped at a red light. A drunk driver rear ended us at over 40mph. I am 65/daughter 29. My daughter suffered greater back injuries than I did. If I did not practice Tai Chi and Yoga, my muscles would not have been able to protect my spine as well as they did. This was confirmed by Doctors and physical therapist. Thank U - M Thomas
Greetings , M Thomas, I would like to ask you , if its possible you explain to me , either by inbox or reply :) a few exercises , i can do at home in order to awaken and become aware of my own chi ,
@emenyama - Bending, twisting, moving arms up/down/side to side while standing or sitting in a slow motion. Do not over do it. Learn to pace yourself. Some exercises seem to be simple but they are the exercises you have too watch out for. Yoga is a great exercise that would compliment Tai Chi. Thank you - M Thomas
Thank you M Thomas, I can't wait to order the dvd on Thursday! I have been interested in Tai Chi for some time, I hope it will help with my meditation and anxiety!
@muziklysharp - I know the benefits of Tai Chi. I will always begin my day with this beautiful art for my physical and mental well being. I hope you experience the same. Thank you - M Thomas
@devilledevil98 - Tai Chi probably replicates movements of every Martial Arts but Tai Chi was not meant for fighting, it was meant for self awareness and self control. Does this answer your question? Thank you - M Thomas
@MThomasEsqI @devilledevil98 Tai Chi is a lot more complicated than that. There are multiple styles these days due in most part to them being developed along different paths to have different purposes. Many of the shorter forms are designed for developing core strength and flexibility, a pure fitness programme if you will. But the basis of Tai Chi and some of the modern forms do have Martial Art applications. Look into pushing hands for more combat evolved applications.
@djbungo - Thank you for your input. I do not mind people including additional information within my videos' as long as they do not put false information, advertisements or vulgar statements. Thank you - M Thomas
Thank you for your efforts to produce clear and easy to follow instructions. We especially like how you show the foot movements several times and then the hand movements several times and then both together - effectively using the mirror and different positions.
The DVD arrived in a timely manner as we ordered it on a Tuesday and it arrived at our campground 4 days later on Saturday. Thanks for your efficiency and patient instruction.
I have received my DVD in Australia and thank-you. I like the way it has been segmented so that you may concentrate on one area at a time without having to keep searching for that particular theme. Very clear and precise movements. I also noticed that a lot of moves have the same names that I know but done in a slightly different way. The diagrams at the beginning are they available I like to use them when I am more sure of the moves and for reference points. Look forward to more DVD's from you.
@shellmarg - Please type into the YouTube search box: Tai Chi Chuan 24-Steps for Beginners Images (KINDLE Friendly) and click the blue link below the video to order 185 Digital Images for only $7.95 and have the images E-Mailed to you to help you learn the steps or put the Images on display. The positioning is very important when achieving your goal. Please view the images, within the video, prior to ordering them. - Thank you - M Thomas
@swordfreak16 - If you learn Tai Chi properly and practice you can achieve this feeling. You can thank the many people who started this wonderful art over 1,500 years ago and who continue to perfect it. Thank you - M Thomas
Continuing. No charges for the classes they were run voluntarily. I had my plan for suicide in place but decided I would give this Tai Chi a go before going ahead with my plan. I have never looked back and have now become a Tai Chi Leader running classes on volunteer basis with the hope that the students will get at least a small part of what it has done for me. I absolutely love Tai Chi. I would also like to add that I am 67 years old so you are never too old to learn!
I would like to share my story with you. Late in 2010 I became very ill with personal problems and lost over 2 stone in weight, I was put on suicide watch. So that friends and family wouldn't hate me too much, on their behalf tried everything to put myself together, joined different groups, tried meditation, nothing worked. My very last attempt at trying different things came when I was told about Tai Chi classes run by NSW Health Australia, (I will post the rest, run out of characters)!
@shellmarg - I appreciate your posting and I am glad that you found comfort when you felt all was lost. I hope you continue your great deed in helping others for this is the greatest gift you can give and receive. Most people get lost in their self instead of helping others. You found an outlet in Tai Chi and therefore you found yourself. I hope you continue to find peace. I hope you continue your Tai Chi and let others know the benefits of Tai Chi. Thank you - M Thomas
I ordered the video Tai Chi Chuan 24 steps at 6.35 AM - 11/11/11 (fortuitous)? I received an email from M Thomas 2 hours later advising me that my order had been processed - amazing - no complaints on service! I wish him and his daughter the very best for the future.
For 'TheLadyBugg8' - I find the exert on You Tube no problem to follow, believe me there are lots of videos out there that are extremely hard to follow and waffle on for ever!
Regards to all from a fan in Australia of M Thomas
I'm probably the only one that had this issue: I tried to do some of the moves, but it was difficult to always keep my mind on the right and left since you weren't facing the mirror. In the DVDs are you facing a mirror?? Just asking.
m. thomas,, I ordered your dvd to help clarify the basic movements for my wife who has recently begun studying tai chi. I am amazed at her rapid improvement after viewing your instructional video! We received it super fast from you and are thankful for the clear concise explanations of all of the movements. Thanks from New York City!
@47roma - I appreciate a dedicated student and hope that some day you may consider joining your wife when she performs Tai Chi. Thank you NY - M Thomas
@1993hondaaccord - Practice, Practice, Practice is the only way you can work on perfecting the various methods of Tai Chi, from slow to medium to fast. Thank you - M Thomas
I've been practicing the movements for about 2 weeks now and can do all of them now. Each one looks easy until tried but it's fun to experience the learning process. I have sore muscles in my middle back that have never been sore before though I can tell my posture is improving a little too so I assume this is a good sign. It is doing wonders for taking away anxiety. Thanks for the great DVD. Shreveport, LA
@jbr2000 - Tai Chi has many moves and many steps to take before you can really learn it. I am glad your anxiety is going away and I hope your back improves. Tai Chi works in many ways and should be taken with caution. The movements seem simple but your body must become aware of what you are doing and adjust. Tai Chi may have slow moves but if your body is not aware of them you may be experiencing adverse reactions. I hope you do find it a great art and a helpful one. Thank you - M Thomas
@MThomasEsqI I love the idea behind Tai Chi. The redirecting of one's energy through the body to help calm the mind and body. I have watched several documentaries on Tai Chi and have always been amazed by it.
@mjsimbeck - It sounds like you are enjoying the benefits of Tai Chi and if you are you are one of a group of people who appreciate this wonderful art. Thank you - M Thomas
@weaverzinc - With respect to your observation you are on the right track. The Chinese were well ahead of where we were then and where we are now. Tai Chi was founded on the movements of nature. The founders studied animals, insects, trees, wind and what nature has to offer this world and incorporated them into the most beautiful and beneficial form of movement. Forms that not only help but nurture the body and mind. Thank you for your fascinating observation. M Thomas
@MThomasEsqI Much respect to you Master! I hope it's ok to call you that even though I'm not a student of yours yet. As of recently I've been drawn back to Martial Arts like never before. I've always practiced in my mind, and want to put it into the physical aspect. My dream is to study under a Master and study Wing Chun and Tai Chi. Now is Tai Chi Chuan the same as plain Tai Chi? I could google it but would rather hear what you have to say. Thanks again for your wonderful comment! *bow
@weaverzinc - There are many stories about how the name Tai Chi and Tai Chi Chuan came about but the name did not appear until the 1800's. It was never named before this time I believe due to it being a naturally accepted form of Art. There are several different forms of Tai Chi that are named after the families that founded their particular forms. Tai Chi (supreme ultimate) Chuan (force). Tai Chi Chuan are both the same when translated means "supreme ultimate force." Thank you - M Thomas
@weaverzinc - Websters' definition of Master "lord, overlord, lord and master, ruler, sovereign, monarch, liege (lord), suzerain". Though many want to raise their status as Master, Master is just a name. Those who demand to be called master need to look at their inner-self and find the meaning of being equal to others and only then would they come to the realization that Master is just a word and not a means to elevate their self. Thank you - M Thomas
Tai Chi to me is not an exercise it's the most beautiful way one can move one's body. Brought about from curiosity of self awareness I'm assuming. I like to think about the first person to experiment with our bodies movements and how it must of come about. There is a natural flow of movement and energy here. I can't thank you enough for making this video and will certainly donate what I can down the road! Thanks for your time Master *insert bow
Thank you M Thomas for this great instrument. It brings Tai Chi classes into ones home. The feeling when practicing is great. This is a must have for Tai Chi beginners who want to assure that they're practicing correctly at home too. Greetings from Belgium.
when are the tai-chi DVD creators going to realize that you must have a rear angle shot of all the moves!! have the instructor and a nother person mimicking the instructor so the person at home can follow alot easier!!
@MThomasEsqI quick question what exactly is tai chi, im use to other martial arts i do MMA and am in wrestling boxing kickboxing and judo. But i want to learn about all martial arts. I see this video and see movements but not anyone else or setups so whats this going to do exactly?
@PearsonWC - This is an 11 part series on how to learn the art of Tai Chi. This has many moves you see in Martial Arts without the blunt, fast moves. This Chinese art is meant to be used to get your mind and body to become as one. This helps your thought processes and your health. You can also learn MMA moves by viewing my videos on IMMA training for MMA. Click arrows above this video to view all of my videos. Thank you - M Thomas
when i read comments i see people being very greatfull but i haven't done any fighting sport and i was very excited and thought i was going to learn how to knock someone down in a few moments xD but i love that guy being so patience
@broefkip - Tai Chi challenges the mind to work with the body. This challenge is sometimes met with resistance. The mind has its own thoughts due to it being separate from any part of the body. You can touch your brain but you cannot touch or see your mind but it does have an affect on all parts of the body. What you eat, how you treat people and how you think, all have an affect on you! The art of Tai Chi is giving you a chance to let your mind and body become cohesive. Thank you - M Thomas
Thank you!! I just received my DVD in the mail, only about three days after I ordered. Way above and beyond expectations, thank you very much! -Houston, Tx
@blindworldcreature - This sounds great. I am glad you are pleased with the USPS delivery time. I always try and send out the orders ASAP. Thank you - M Thomas
I just want to thank you again. I just practiced the first two steps then prematurely attempted a few Muay Boran kicks after. Man, it felt brilliant. I've never felt so centered when kicking. I performed the crocodile kick with more grace, the push kick was performed to the best of my ability. My legs felt stuck to the ground in a good way. I can't thank you enough. I'll definitely buy your dvd when I can afford to. Thanks. Marvin.
@Satie3 This is a reply to both of your comments. Please view the video. Some parts vary when it comes to your hands and feet. Thank you for your good input about Tai Chi helping you out. M Thomas
Thank you very much for the opportunity you have given me to learn tai chi chuan. I have one small question. During the step forward in the 2nd movement, should the stepping foot at any point be taken off the ground, or do the toes glide accross the floor? I'm talking about the 1st part of the step. I know that the foot comes off the ground during the 2nd part. Ps. Should my calves at any time feel strained? Is this bad chi, unstretched?
@MRMarchingSnare18 - There were only a few styles 400-500 years ago. As time went on Tai Chi continued to develop many different styles and moves according to a varied amount of teachers.
@majawow - I cannot tell you how often you should practice. Your body will let you know. Do not try and do too much when you first start out. You may find yourself sore and you may make your body feel worse. It is best if you take your time and ad a little bit more of the exercise when you go into the next day. Thank you - M Thomas
today was my first day of tai chi. i learned this form. i like tai chi alot, it's just alittle awkward cause i'm the only white person and abit taller then everyone. hopefully the days get better. it's hard for me to relax as much as you need too.
@TiiaBun91 - I am glad you are doing something positive. You will eventually feel more comfortable as you learn this Chinese Art. You will also find yourself more relaxed and confident. Thank you - M Thomas
I am going to try this... I used to be in tip top shape then I had back surgery-RUIND MY LIFE..I am trying :( I will attempt this and hope I can become ME again...
@eROeMAeN - It depends on how you want to use it. I will have a DVD out before the end of the month on how to train for Mixed Martial Arts. I hope you keep in tough and look for the video. Thank you - M Thomas
i dont know for you guys if you are an expert or old man but i am 13 and i think i found a new way of controlling energy i just relax and feel the environment and every time i repeat the point of your body that you feel first will be the one that is closer to the chi movement wow its so cool and you can control it with your mind and through breathing
i am one who never takes the time to relax or take things slow, but i got to say doin tai chi has helped me relax and focus on the tasks i need to do throughout the day, do you have any videos on qigong?
@MultiFluffymonkey - I do not have any video on Qigong. I have had many request for a self-defense DVD. I will be coming out with a full DVD on how to fight the MMA style. The DVD will show equipment, warm-ups and IMMA fighting styles through the unique training of the Institute of Mixed Martial Arts (IMMA) of Dr. Dimitri Paul Sr. His studio is located at 8611 Southfield Dr., Detroit, MI 48228, (313 743-1166. Thank you - M Thomas
@MThomasEsqI i LOVE THIS IDEA..I have been urging traditional masters to do so, because of some of the silly beliefs that are flying around since mma became popular. MMA isnt even really mixed martial arts anymore, its Muayt hai and bjj. Both are great sports, but there are many more skills to be had. Anyway awesome idea. Git er done!
THANK YOU! FOR THIS WONDERFUL VIDEO!!! I went to my first Tai Chi class today & it left me confused. Watched your video 5 x & was able to follow you. You're great!!
@beatakrejcova - The video series has 11 parts with all 11 parts of the series on DVD. Please enjoy your video experience on YouTube. Thank you - M Thomas
THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting, clearly explaning and demastrationing Tai Chi Chun. I'm looking into classes but untill I find a dojo teacher, I'm happy to learn what I can from you.
@IrishKagura - I hope you learn a lot from this video. There are different forms of Tai Chi. It is best to stay with one rather than confuse yourself. Check with your future instructor about the type of Tai Chi the instructor may teach. Thank you - M Thomas
@falthy3 huh? what do you find it so hilarious about? every body can do meditations and psi. Now my chi is already balance since I tried learning this technique.... thanks to the guy on the video :P
@falthy3 i know it's stupid...but that's what i felt. before that, I can only feel the electrical intensity in my left hand not much on my right hand..but now it's fine XD
@brin3m - Please keep in touch. I like to hear about people like you who stay committed and thank you for your input on the delivery of your DVD. Thanks - M Thomas
For me it's a great way to discover the quiet strength within -that eluded a more frenetic ,desperate search.By moving through the space ,with appreciation of each point -i.e. in the "now" , "then" is preparation for "now" , which increases my ability to visualize what is to come .Time tripping ,no drugs necessary.
question, does this technique makes your inner chi balanced? i have been meditating and practicing psi technique for long time and i always felt this tingling sensation at the palm of my hands and i never knew what it is until a friend of mine call it as "chi". now my question is that, how do you balance chi on both hands? because my left hand has stronger chi than my right hand. :( i want both as balance
@shin7scarlet1-According to Chinese culture Chi is an active principle forming part of any living thing. It normally does not concentrate itself in one area. Chi is a constantly flowing & not affixed to one certain area. I am not diagnosing your symptoms but some people experience this type of tinging due to carpal tunnel or for other reasons. Try limiting the use of the tingling hand by not having repetitious use. Work on Tai Chi movements and see a doctor about your hand. Thank you - M Thomas
@shin7scarlet1 - Tai Chi is simple yet complex. It is a matter of balance between Ying and Yang without rest. Chi is your inner self without doubts or questions. Conflicts of ideas and journeys of the mind may conflict and cause negative physical and emotional results. Tai Chi helps mend and blend the confusion within you. Think before you act and work on your Tai Chi movements to balance your inner self. This should help in ways you never thought it would. Thank you - M Thomas
@NarmolanyaoOo - I am really pleased that you feel the way you do and received the benefit you should get from Tai Chi. Thank you for your input. M Thomas
I just wanted to say thank you for the time you have taken to help, I look forward to practising regularly something I have wanted to do for a long time. And you spreak a lot of sense in your written comments as well :-)
@toxic4freak Everything can be used to defend yourself. It's never about the art, and always about the man (or woman) behind it, but MThomasEsql is very right, the best way to 'win' a fight is to talk your way out of it or walk away at first notice.
i cannot get the hand movements aligned what advice would you give

And maybe you should try to find someone to translate in other languages, like french.
I'm sure a lot of people who don't speak english would be interrested !
Thank you again !
TichaMeow 2 months ago
@TichaMeow - This is an interesting question with complications, since their are 6,500 recorded languages and still counting. Languages in very remote and unexplored areas have yet to be discovered on this earth. Your idea would be nice but extremely difficult. Thank you - M Thomas
MThomasEsqI 2 months ago
@TichaMeow - I recently found out how beneficial Tai Chi really is. My daughter was driving and I was sitting in the front seat of her car while stopped at a red light. A drunk driver rear ended us at over 40mph. I am 65/daughter 29. My daughter suffered greater back injuries than I did. If I did not practice Tai Chi and Yoga, my muscles would not have been able to protect my spine as well as they did. This was confirmed by Doctors and physical therapist. Thank U - M Thomas

@MThomasEsqI I was wondering, can you fight with Tai Chi? I would appreciate any information. Thanks! :)
devilledevil98 2 months ago
@devilledevil98 - Tai Chi probably replicates movements of every Martial Arts but Tai Chi was not meant for fighting, it was meant for self awareness and self control. Does this answer your question? Thank you - M Thomas
MThomasEsqI 2 months ago
@MThomasEsqI @devilledevil98 Tai Chi is a lot more complicated than that. There are multiple styles these days due in most part to them being developed along different paths to have different purposes. Many of the shorter forms are designed for developing core strength and flexibility, a pure fitness programme if you will. But the basis of Tai Chi and some of the modern forms do have Martial Art applications. Look into pushing hands for more combat evolved applications.

I would also like to add that I am 67 years old so you are never too old to learn!
shellmarg 3 months ago
I would like to share my story with you. Late in 2010 I became very ill with personal problems and lost over 2 stone in weight, I was put on suicide watch. So that friends and family wouldn't hate me too much, on their behalf tried everything to put myself together, joined different groups, tried meditation, nothing worked. My very last attempt at trying different things came when I was told about Tai Chi classes run by NSW Health Australia, (I will post the rest, run out of characters)!

Shreveport, LA
jbr2000 5 months ago
@jbr2000 - Tai Chi has many moves and many steps to take before you can really learn it. I am glad your anxiety is going away and I hope your back improves. Tai Chi works in many ways and should be taken with caution. The movements seem simple but your body must become aware of what you are doing and adjust. Tai Chi may have slow moves but if your body is not aware of them you may be experiencing adverse reactions. I hope you do find it a great art and a helpful one. Thank you - M Thomas

M Thomas
MThomasEsqI 5 months ago
@MThomasEsqI Much respect to you Master! I hope it's ok to call you that even though I'm not a student of yours yet. As of recently I've been drawn back to Martial Arts like never before. I've always practiced in my mind, and want to put it into the physical aspect. My dream is to study under a Master and study Wing Chun and Tai Chi. Now is Tai Chi Chuan the same as plain Tai Chi? I could google it but would rather hear what you have to say. Thanks again for your wonderful comment! *bow
weaverzinc 5 months ago
@weaverzinc - There are many stories about how the name Tai Chi and Tai Chi Chuan came about but the name did not appear until the 1800's. It was never named before this time I believe due to it being a naturally accepted form of Art. There are several different forms of Tai Chi that are named after the families that founded their particular forms. Tai Chi (supreme ultimate) Chuan (force). Tai Chi Chuan are both the same when translated means "supreme ultimate force." Thank you - M Thomas
MThomasEsqI 5 months ago
@weaverzinc - Websters' definition of Master "lord, overlord, lord and master, ruler, sovereign, monarch, liege (lord), suzerain". Though many want to raise their status as Master, Master is just a name. Those who demand to be called master need to look at their inner-self and find the meaning of being equal to others and only then would they come to the realization that Master is just a word and not a means to elevate their self. Thank you - M Thomas
MThomasEsqI 5 months ago
Tai Chi to me is not an exercise it's the most beautiful way one can move one's body. Brought about from curiosity of self awareness I'm assuming. I like to think about the first person to experiment with our bodies movements and how it must of come about. There is a natural flow of movement and energy here. I can't thank you enough for making this video and will certainly donate what I can down the road! Thanks for your time Master *insert bow

broefkip 7 months ago
@broefkip - Tai Chi challenges the mind to work with the body. This challenge is sometimes met with resistance. The mind has its own thoughts due to it being separate from any part of the body. You can touch your brain but you cannot touch or see your mind but it does have an affect on all parts of the body. What you eat, how you treat people and how you think, all have an affect on you! The art of Tai Chi is giving you a chance to let your mind and body become cohesive. Thank you - M Thomas

Is this bad chi, unstretched?

question, does this technique makes your inner chi balanced? i have been meditating and practicing psi technique for long time and i always felt this tingling sensation at the palm of my hands and i never knew what it is until a friend of mine call it as "chi". now my question is that, how do you balance chi on both hands? because my left hand has stronger chi than my right hand. :( i want both as balance
shin7scarlet1 8 months ago
@shin7scarlet1-According to Chinese culture Chi is an active principle forming part of any living thing. It normally does not concentrate itself in one area. Chi is a constantly flowing & not affixed to one certain area. I am not diagnosing your symptoms but some people experience this type of tinging due to carpal tunnel or for other reasons. Try limiting the use of the tingling hand by not having repetitious use. Work on Tai Chi movements and see a doctor about your hand. Thank you - M Thomas
MThomasEsqI 8 months ago
@shin7scarlet1 - Tai Chi is simple yet complex. It is a matter of balance between Ying and Yang without rest. Chi is your inner self without doubts or questions. Conflicts of ideas and journeys of the mind may conflict and cause negative physical and emotional results. Tai Chi helps mend and blend the confusion within you. Think before you act and work on your Tai Chi movements to balance your inner self. This should help in ways you never thought it would. Thank you - M Thomas
MThomasEsqI 5 months ago
@MThomasEsqI Couldn't it be a matter of bloodflow or muscles? Or chi is a broad term that includes that?

@toxic4freak Everything can be used to defend yourself. It's never about the art, and always about the man (or woman) behind it, but MThomasEsql is very right, the best way to 'win' a fight is to talk your way out of it or walk away at first notice.
