What makes this version so incredible is she actually re-recorded it for the show and changed the lyric to "maybe I'll GAIN some weight" to poke fun at herself. It's a cryin' shame she doesn't perform this song live in her shows. It has little to do with Christmas, but heartaches and heartbreaks are an all year thing. Anything with Dolly is ABSOLUTELY awesome... but this is not from the Dolly Show, this is from when she was a special guest on the Bob Hope Christmas Special... it was done on a cruise ship and that was the backdrop of this is...
