  • You can also add some more BHP by sorting out the intercooler in the XJR, if you take the intercooler out, you`ll see the pipes coming out of the intercooler are actually blocked & only have a pin hole in them, carefully drill these out making sure you dont let swarf go into the cooler (or melt the holes larger), put it back, & put a pump into the system, something like a heater system pump capable of handling high temperatures.

  • I wish someone would make active tailpipes for the XJR as I like being in stealth mode sometimes... I`m trying to find compatible ones from another car.

  • @LondonItalian

Agreed. Quiet and refined under normal driving. Then, loud and menacing when giving it hell!

  • @Markoferrari88 Exactly!

  • how do you take the resonators out?

  • @Tyman393 with a saw zaw then put a straight piece of pipe in its place

  • @ocmuffler That's called a saws-all. FYI. Sounds BITCHIN!

  • @Tyman393 for older models they are bolt on and you can loosen them and hit them until they fall off. then you just put straight pipe at their place.

  • My friend used to have a 88 XJ6. Very nice car. Though they tend to rot really bad. He says he wont buy a Jag that ford made. LOL I agree

  • @JoshChadwick they dont rot that bad. they have antyirust all over the underneath and about... 25 coats of paint around. that shows how much you knwo.

  • @6SpAr6TAN69 maybe not the new ones but the 80s and early 90s did. My friend had 2 of them. The british racing green one he had was a real rust bucket. I mean bad. He also had a black one after that same year from florida an it was mint.

Maybe cause in PA the salt eats them away?

  • @JoshChadwick in boston that I spent a couple years, there is snow also. well, it helps to car wash them here and there to wash off the salt. usually that' s all it' s needed. they will rust especially the springs which are not coated and couple other parts but they are thick solid metal that should still hold for the life of the vehicle.. make sure you dont add any chrome sidepanels, or or other panels whatsoever 'cause these will definitely hold water and rust quickly.

  • @6SpAr6TAN69 I`ve had a string of Jaguars & currently have an 88 3.6 Daimler & a 99 XJR V8.

I love Jaguar & will always have them in my life, but the steel bodied ones do rust, in fact my 99 has more rust than my 88. This is due to the fact cars since the mid 90`s have used water instead of solvent based paints to meet emissions regulations. Its not as resilient as solvent based paints & doesnt last as long.

Jaguar also accidentally built a rust trap into the X308, NSF brake pipe mount...

  • @6SpAr6TAN69

    simplt stupid

  • @6SpAr6TAN69

    simply stupid

  • holly shit thats nice! can magnaflow do this for the latest xjr??

  • yeah man, thiers tons of videos out there for it

  • o yea lol

  • i just got the same car. i want my exhaust to sound something like your but more towards the 2008 jaguar xk convertibles exhaust sound..can magnaflow work for me?

  • I would use mina. Much better quality, and AMAZING sounds

  • I totally agreed!!! I just installed a Mina Gallery exhaust on my 03 XJR and you can tell the difference. It also looks very stock with the rest of the car.

  • I just bought a 2002 XJR!!!!! Im getting her mina exhaust soon.

  • I also have the Mina Gallery Direct Intake Kit and Supercharger Pulley. I am having them installed probably by the beginning of next week. I am more than positive that will definitely make a performance difference!!! Contact Chris at Mina and you can get the same kit (Pkg 3) for around $900. The kit includes Exhaust, Direct Intake and Supercharger Pulley.

  • Yes, I am getting those too. It should help. I know the intake and exhaust alone will make a BIG difference. because it will open up the air flow for that supercharger, and the pulley will have a help to. She will be pushing over 400 RWP no problem! I always talk to Chris at mina. Thats not a bad price, considering the exhaust is that much alone!

  • The intake is worthless. Will only add limited hp(1-5hp) and then the performance actually drops when the engine gets hot. The pulley needs a special tool to install, and you have to be careful about the supercharger overheating with extended use. It'll just shut off. You'll need an upgraded intercooler. I have both and found it out the hard way.

  • @princemarko ummm...i think you're confused. Superchargers are physically connected to the engine crank, and cannot "shut off." Performance drops when they get hot, as the charge air is less dense the hotter it gets, but "shutting off" is not physically possible...

  • NICE!!

  • sounds mean! I'm looking to do this for my XJ
