We had a BIG squirrel problem this summer. they were getting into our trash and strowing it everywhere...not to mention getting into our feeders and even munching on our deck!
Got a remington vantage 1200 to take care of them...and lets just say that they aren't a problem anymore. that was the best money I ever spent. haven't had any problems for about two months now and now I can focus on my real favorite thing to do with airguns......plinking. =)
lol you look out my frieds back door and u see about 5 in the front theres like 6 when u go deeper in the woods theres more, buy we hunt and eat them so its ok
i agree they do some damage they ate all the fruit from my trees and distroyed a humming bird nest... i tried the whole catch and relocate thing but they just keep coming i cought up to 7 in one day.maybe i should start shooting them insted.would a beemanRS2 in .22 cal be good enough to do the job?
I watched all your videos and they are great! My dad is in pest control too but just uses traps due to the fact his employer won't allow him to shoot pests(he works for a military base). I was wondering, for those of use that can't afford an s410 like myself, what would be a good hunting gun( non break barrel) around the $200-$300 range? I shoot a 270 for deer and hogs so kick doesn't matter. Once again, great shots!
@MikeVinar Yes that is a problem. The maximum carrying capacity is 3 squirrels per acre anymore than that there is a large chance the may seek shelter in your home or car. Keep in mind a large number of electrical fires are caused by rodents chewing wires.
holy shit is that damage seriously caused by squirrels? never thought they could be such a pest. How come they're so large in numbers? In my country the squirrel population is about balanced, it's really rare to see one. I think they get controlled by the birds and ferrets.

You show a squirrel eating on a frozen dead bird to get food in it's empty stomach and you portray the squirrel like it killed the bird, you poor ignorant fool. I feed squirrels and I would feed as many that want to come into my yard and eat. Go ahead and spew your lies about little grays destroying a house lol and destroying property......I hope you accidently shoot your fkn balls off.
pdogger1 you call me a poor ignorant fool & you hope I accidently shoot my fkn balls off. First of all I am a mature adult so I won't be calling you names or threatening your safety. Second you spelled accidentally wrong. Third due to my profession I am witness to the damages caused by your little friends. Sorry to burst your bubble there are no lies here. Thanks for your comment.
WILDPARTY,some of us cant shoot a real gun on our property.a quiet pellet gun wont be heard.I just like the head shots,i have a endless supply of tree rats.
i see like ten different squirrels on my land but the hippys are saying that they are protected and apperently the fish and wild life services here made sure that all animals on my property are protected by law and even tho there is only like 7 houses i cant shoot my real gun
If nuisance wildlife such as gray squirrels are damaging a home owners property they do have the right to protect their investment!!! What city & state are you in I will check your laws & ordinances.
noo dude !! A big cat is almost 200 dollors. buy a marlin 795 .22 rifle for 129! its way better cuz its a real gun and has way more power. i got a gamo big cat and its a great ass air rifle but a .22 is better TRUST ME!
my dad owns a roofing company and i work for him during the summer we had to do quite a bit of work to a house to replace facerboards where they had chewed into the house
i think i heard him say he uses an Air Arms of some kind. either an S400 or S410. i can't remember. he uses that on anything under 25 pounds, and a Ruger 10/22 on anything over 25 pounds.
NTEESUPREME out of curiosity, what do you do with the squirrels, vermin, pests etc you kill? Do you eat any of them? Im from the uk and have a .177 air arms s410 ( Amazing gun ), and when I shoot rabbits I dispose of the pellet if i can find it, which most of the time I can and feed it to my pythons. Also when i shoot pigeons the pellet goes straight through the head so i can feed them straight away.
Nice shooting, always good to see them die quick and humanely even though they are pests.
I am a Wildlife Pest Control agent not a hunter. In my state it is illegal to eat, sell, or trade the animals I have been hired to control. If the job isn't a catch & release the carcasses are taken to a approved landfill where the protected by law vultures can do their job.
you showed to us that they eat birds- but so are we- i don't say that you souldn't kill them, because other say to me "you should not kill birds", but- I, we- are predators- and because of it i kill what i see ( like elephant hunting- they are varmints? LOL
Jordenkl you seem to be confused. I can only speak for the U.S. Here there are laws to protect the balance of the wildlife environment. Most birds here are classified as song birds and are protected by law. On the other hand European Starlings are not because of the massive damage they cause.
Other wildlife have specific seasons they can be hunted such as deer to control the spread of disease and the amount of people injured each year in car accidents caused by their population explosions.
You should not kill anything for pure fun. Control pest only if it is legal and necessary ( property damage, personal safety, or threat to protected species).
at 1:15-1:20 the squirrels are eating birds holy shit.
