Bolet between Katchen and Giles is rather funny... Cortot, a Carnival of wrong notes...
But in fact, almost all of these pianists don't play exactly how it is written: in the beginning left hand fortissimo with accents, right hand piano -- then legato in groups of four and groups of two, crescendi and decrescendi, sforzandi, staccati etc... in tempo presto, extremely difficult! To me, Arrau and Fischer make the most sense musically...

@pianopera some are more technically stunning (Barere, Katchen, Fiorentino, Gilels...) but I prefer Casadesus...
