  • although Bolet is the slowest, I like his recording best because you can hear everything perfectly clear! the man was a genius! :-) real nice upload by the way!

  • Merci mille fois !!!!!

  • Excellent both cogitata and realia attempt !! May I suggest Catherine Collard....

  • A Carnival of Pianists!

Bolet between Katchen and Giles is rather funny... Cortot, a Carnival of wrong notes...

But in fact, almost all of these pianists don't play exactly how it is written: in the beginning left hand fortissimo with accents, right hand piano -- then legato in groups of four and groups of two, crescendi and decrescendi, sforzandi, staccati etc... in tempo presto, extremely difficult! To me, Arrau and Fischer make the most sense musically...

    (Btw, you forgot De Larrocha?)

  • @pianopera mmm ... what happened to Alicia?

  • @gullivior Just curious Livio-san: who's your favourite here?

  • @pianopera some are more technically stunning (Barere, Katchen, Fiorentino, Gilels...) but I prefer Casadesus...

  • wow
