Just saw the amarican version of this movie. I thought it was brilliant! Haven't seen the danish version though, even though I am danish. Actually, I didn't know it was a remake of the danish movie untill I read it in the opening credits.

People in dannish movie look more real. Like someone you pass in the street every day and that makes dannish version of the movie way better than the american version. I saw both and i prefere dannish one.

@toppdirector no it has nothing to do with blowing anything up. in fact the movie didnt have any fancy expolisions! what it had was good acting by jake and natalie , they are very good actors in America. I watched the original and the acting was bad, plus the budget made it look cheap like a bad student film.

"Brothers" gets worked up about one American soldier killing. Anyone who has been in combat know that about one in five dead Americans were killed by their fellow soldiers. And, don't expect the Pentagon to tell you this...remember the Arizona pro football player who was killed in combat by his fellow soldiers - the Pentagon stonewalled his death. Moral of the story: don't mix up "heroism" with going to war - it doesn't work that way. War is for chumps - dead chumps...

I've watched the American version of this movie, and I must say that the terrorist at 1:34 looks ALOT like the terrorist in the american version. Maybe they used the same crew to play the terrorists?

American version is really good as well. I just watched it today and loved it. It is a great drama movie. Pretty sad and shows it is easy to say yeah I will join the military and kill people but in reality it is not. I am not against the military and I do support it but not for the wrong reasons!

This is one of the best movies I have seen. If you have not seen the danish original version, do it. It´s much better than the american. I have seen both so I know what I´m talking about.

I haven't seen the original, though I would like to, but the remake was really good. Surprisingly, the little girl who plays the eldest daughter, Bailee Madison, was VERY good. She deserves an Oscar or at least a nomination for her performance.

From the trailers, it looks like it's more or less directly translated. The cast is slightly different, but I doubt that remake will be that bad compared to the original, even though the original is one of the best danish movies ever.

I was so annoyed when I saw they were remaking this excellent excellent film. I just saw the trailer for the remake. . Just from the trailer I can tell you "it can't touch the original." I agree watch the original film. It's excellent!
