Sin is sin. God forgives and is merciful but this doesn't mean you recreate God in your own image! Changing God in order to satisfy a passion of the flesh and not apply grace to be free from the lust is twisted. This is no different than the racist taking a few Bible passages out of intended meaning and justifying his refusal to associate with other races all the while ignoring clear passages that condemn hate. Just as Jennifer is doing by clearly denying obvious scripture so have racists!

God is willing to save everyone but unfortunately it is exactly because people choose their own wisdom and their own path instead of his that they end up lost. Proverbs 3:5, 6 Hitler may have been reconciled to God, but only if he ended up choosing God's way. We have no way of knowing if he did so before his demise.
Comforting yourself by telling yourself something untrue does not help you in this life, and it will not in the next.
@kolamaneh He doesnt reconcile unless we come to Him, with a humble heart and repent... Some day she will realize she was wrong and hopefully she will repent, then and only then will she see God.....

The issue I see with this young lady is that she has claimed to be Born again of the Holy Spirit if this is the case then she has to deny herself and walk with Christ as a new creature putting aside the old man.
People God is Love as the Bible tells us but make no mistake he is not a sentimental slob. he the Judge of this world
She needs to surrender to Jesus and become truly born again! Right now, she is willfully living in sin, and if she dies in this state, she will spend eternity in hell. Surrender to Jesus is what she needs "to do".

Accepting that the world will do what it will, and that so long as she has the love of the Father, none of it matters anyway, and she'll get through. Tell me that isn't what the song is about. She may have written it years ago, but songs grow with the wisdom and life experiences of the player - it's even more powerful now.
What3verz - It's not nearly that simple, and the song is absolutely appropriate for what she was going through that week, walking through the fire of rejection and controversy that she knew would be coming for her when she chose to be honest. Think about it. She is who she is - a musician, a person of faith, gay. She can't change any of that. She can't make people who hate any part of that like her. She can't change the past.
Such a beautiful song. It's a shame that the intro compromised the entire meaning of it and pawned it off as a jelly headed grossly misused version of "judge not lest ye be judged", all for walrus clap applause. Ah well, I still love the song.
