You very well could get hidden headlights in 67 it was part of the rally sport package.and of course it's a 67 it's got vent windows that's the only year it had them. Come on wake up man!
that is not a 1967, I owned one, that is a 68. The 67 did not have hidden headlights. In 1967 they built a limited edition SS with the new 350 engine, the others were the 396 and the 327. My mother had the double hump high performance heads, yet only a Rochester carb. It did have front disk brakes, the regular cameo only had drums. Those were the days. Remind me to tell you about the 66 two door Continental I later owned. What a land barge that was, with a 462 engine... memories. :)

To me, the new cars are about as exciting as refrigerators, but they're in many cases faster than their old counterparts. I've got a 67 GTO hardtop with the original 335hp 400, auto and 3.23 rearend. Just for the hell of it I took on a guy with an '05 GTO stoplight to stoplight and barely stayed ahead of him ... and that's only because his was a six speed and the guy didn't know how to drive it. A good drive would've ate me alive.
It seems as thought the old days are coming back. A horsepower fight between Challenger, Camaro, and Mustang. For every year before 2011, I would prefer a Camaro to a Mustang, but the new Camaros are ugly and not F-Bodies. The Mustangs are awesome-looking and performing across the board for '11.
These commercials sure beat the shit out of today's car commercials... Is anyone else tired of the gay songs and giant hamsters driving? I know I am. What do either have to do with cars?
"The new car that's something else.." WOW! I didnt know I could do so much with all the new amazing features like "Back seat up,......... back seat DAAAAOOOUUUUNN!!!!! WOW! LOL
@Frankenfukstein Very true but it made a great car to put a 305 in or shoehorn a small block 350 in it's cradle. I like the look of the Vega but like you say they tried to make a gas efficient car with poor sales then came the 1980 z28 and viola back on the block
hey guys, could you tell me what sort of suspension was used on the rear of the 67 camaro. i ask because i recently watched the i disappear - Metallica video where james hetfield races a 67 camaro thru the streets of san francisco. at one point he turns a corner and you can see something protruding out under the rear of the car behind the wheel. you only get a very quick glimpse and i wondered if this was maybe a leaf spring or something similar. i only ask out of interest
Yep,bought mine just the other day.Wanted a 1960 impala though, something I could just cruise in.Oh well,it will be a fun project.Father and son type of thing.
I don't know WHY Detroit stopped making commercials like this- it probably would have saved them releasing new models of all the musclecars around 2000 or so... it took them too long, and for years too many boring new car ads. This ad is priceless!! Thanks for uploading!!

Whats so wild about this commercial is that a 1967 camaro in mint condition today, is worth even more than a brand new 2011 is.
Go Figure!

Chevy almost got the mini muscle car right when the Vega became the Monza, and then put a 350 in it. Too bad they don't bring that one back.
