I LOVE playing games, and take any chance I get to play on a console, any console, and I enjoy every system. I know each system has it's perks, strengths and weaker areas.

Halo is indeed awesome but highly overrated. I don't think of myself as an elitist nor do I base popularity as a sign of quality, but video games are becoming like music. Look no further then your average IG review. There have been games that were critically acclaimed but were financial failures (Grim Fandango), just as there are games that get bad reviews but still sell well.
... more accessible.. means.. the use of WiiMotion plus.. they make it more.. natural to play, quicker to access items.. and such.. not really easier.. just.. easier to control.. jesus.. you just did not get what the head guys at the japanese part of the company mean when they say things.. some times things get lost in translation.. they just mean.. more intuitive..not easier.. not.. without it's challenges..

Please understand that the reason why there are a lot of games that only appear for XBOX360 and PS3 is because those other companies dont wanna support the wii because i think they are lazy to program for the wii remote, they wanna go easy and standard so they go for the other consoles. And Call of Duty 4 Reflex edition was the proof that the wii is capable of what the other consoles do and do it better, so porting games like Resident Evil 5 Street Fighter IV KOF and similar ...CONTINUE....

Look, I'm sorry if I sound like an idiot, but the only game that I like from Microsoft is Halo 3. I'm a sci-fi kind of guy, not a hard-core gamer. I don't have anything else besides the Wii, and it gets to me sometimes. I still think one of the greatest series was Pokemon, and (although the show sucks) I still play the games. I know Nintendo is trying to make their games more family-oriented, and I respect that. If I was a parent, I wouldn't want my 10 year old kid playing Call of Duty MW2.

NSMB had some pretty tough levels in it and I thought it was a blast like SMB3 and SMW combined. Madworld was pretty short but fun. If it didnt take me like 5 hours to beat I wouldve bought it instead of rented it.

Virtual Console. NO game on the Wii lasts more than 3 weeks, and the only reason to keep it is because my childhood favourites are on it.
PS3 has amazing games, like MGS4, inFamous, Uncharted and Uncharted 2, 360 has RE5, Batman, and Dead Space, all amazing. But the best Wii has is Brawl..... which is sad. Don't get me wrong, I was a big Nintendo fan, but since Wii, I've lost faith in them.

Please understand that the reason why there are a lot of games that only appear for XBOX360 and PS3 is because those other companies dont wanna support the wii because i think they are lazy to program for the wii remote, they wanna go easy and standard so they go for the other consoles. And Call of Duty 4 Reflex edition was the proof that the wii is capable of what the other consoles do and do it better, so porting games like Resident Evil 5 Street Fighter IV KOF and similar ...CONTINUE....

No. did the Wii-mote make Wind Waker fun? hell no. point is: The original game without motion controls was just fine. plus the "flip the world so right handed people can play easier" idea was dumb as hell.

He's right. Nintendo could have had the greatest console ever. But, they put these bullshit games which suck. They could have made a game like Halo 3 (yes, I went there, Hey I'm a Halo fan.) for the Wii, and it would have been amazing! But, they have the stupidest games ever made for it. The only decent games are Brawl, Wii Sports and (maybe) BWii. I'm a football fan, who loves the NFL, but the Wii fucked up Madden(s) 09 and 10. Look, I'm sorry if I sound like an idiot, but the only game that I like from Microsoft is Halo 3. I'm a sci-fi kind of guy, not a hard-core gamer. I don't have anything else besides the Wii, and it gets to me sometimes. I still think one of the greatest series was Pokemon, and (although the show sucks) I still play the games. I know Nintendo is trying to make their games more family-oriented, and I respect that. If I was a parent, I wouldn't want my 10 year old kid playing Call of Duty MW2.

NSMB had some pretty tough levels in it and I thought it was a blast like SMB3 and SMW combined. Madworld was pretty short but fun. If it didnt take me like 5 hours to beat I wouldve bought it instead of rented it.

No. There were NO ( zero, nada, none) video game developers/distributers/ INDUSTRY in America at the time. They were all in Japan where gaming was still big.
And even IF another company did revive the video games crash of '84 and '85, there's still so much Nintendo did. Without Nintendo, we'd be WAY behind in video game technology.

I can't believe I actually considered paying for a Wii once. The goddamn DS is better than the Wii. That's where Nintendo's potential is actually used correctly.

Good, we don't need another Wii hater *****ing about the Wii. I've had more then enough of the fanbase reaction towards the Wii.
What did you guys expect, the next SNES? No, this is a new technology, so of course it's going be dumped on by third-party developers.
To avoid being an Wii hater, ignore the shovelware and get games you want. That is, if you aren't one already. If you are, then I can't help you.

I have a PS3 and a Wii, and is going to buy a 360 within a few months, and I still play the Wii......
Virtual Console. NO game on the Wii lasts more than 3 weeks, and the only reason to keep it is because my childhood favourites are on it.
PS3 has amazing games, like MGS4, inFamous, Uncharted and Uncharted 2, 360 has RE5, Batman, and Dead Space, all amazing. But the best Wii has is Brawl..... which is sad. Don't get me wrong, I was a big Nintendo fan, but since Wii, I've lost faith in them.

True, the onloy good games I find on the wii are Brawl and Mario kart. I remember the days when Nintendo was my system of choice. NES, SNES, n64 etc.

I agree some what with guitarmasterx7 because nintendo's mass production is child friendly games which doesn't make sense because the children play games like gears, halo, the cod series, etc. so why is nintendo making games for children that won't play them and adults that have outgrown thier child years to play them?

I agree with this guy. There's only one thing for the wii that I think is really good, the ability to play the older games. But of course, playing them on a SNES or NES is waaay better.
