@CR250R40 Yeah i know, the old AMT/ERTL model, but it wasn't a 100% replica of it. I've mailed many model kit factories to take it in their offer. The answer was always the same: The rights of this truck belongs to the studio (that's clear) but the rights to built it are still to expensive. Maybe all fans should make a petition.

@AnimePrayer Thanks for the info. I knew I saw a version of the truck when I was young, just not the exact truck. I guess AMT/ERTL never had the rights to do an exact version. That's too bad. It would be a fun build.

I envy anyone who builds models. I can no longer use my hands, model building is out. Drives me NUTS. I admire any model builder. Hope everyone can do this wonderful hobby until their 90s.

You know I get angry when people try to say this was one of Peckinpah's weaker movies, like he was coasting or slumming when he made it. I'd place this alongside if not Wild Bunch, then Alfredo Garcia or The Getaway or Straw Dogs any day. It shows what a great comic director he was too when he was given the chance.

I noticed the 56 cent gas prices I use to fill up my dirt bike for 75 cents. I was sitting here watching the movie and what i noticed first was the Texaco at the south end of Belen looked very familiar. Than started backing up and pausing the movie and looking at everything. That's so funny to see all that in this movie. I was pretty young than and lived 8 miles north of belen in a rural area called Los Chavez NM and took the bus to belen jr high and high school.

I also noticed DLS Sports. That was the PE coaches sporting goods store he owned. His name was Mr Saiz. I forgot his first name. He had a contract with Belen schools so that's where everyone had to buy there PE uniforms. Also the building next to the Lota Burger you can see a big red arrow pointing to the drive thru window. I can't remember the name of the store back than but like I mentioned it's a Circle K store now. That was main street Belen they drove through.

at about 59:16 you can see them passing thru a town. That is Belen NM. If you freeze it just at the right time you can clearly see Lota Burger. Later it changed to tastee freeze and i think its a subway now. Next to the Lota Burger you see a store. I don't know what it was then but it's a circle K now. At about 59:36 when they are leaving the town you can see Texaco. It's still there. The exit going off to the right is North exit to ALB NM. The left exit goes South to Socorro NM.
