Guess thats what happens after playing guitar for 30 years. Id like to see a video of him playing when he was 20, just for coparison's sake. If he is still amazing, I'd know that its just natural talent(most probable). If he was like the rest of us humans though, and his performances were slightly less impressive, that would give me hope to be able to play like him someday.

@cheezmo722 Technically, I was at peak around age of twenty and after spending a several decades, I finally started to play comfortably. One thing I know is that every one has a talent. It is just a matter of noticing it and polishing it in right way. I am not sure if I am doing it in right way but I can feel some progress so I think I am.

@peacejoytown at some stage a realisation comes (it did to me) that playing music is an extension of your soul and the love of music is paramount no matter how capable you are technically, to make music is to lift you above the troubles of life. inside us all is a segovia or django, you may not hear it but I can. therein lies the joy of music

I use iSight camera built-in to iMac display for video and Fostex MR-8mkII for audio recording. Those two sources are combined in iMovie software that came with iMac.

Thank you. I take a song as a whole and try to capture the feel of it. Maybe you start off with a very simple arrangement like just a melody line and see if you can add some base and obligato here and there to make it sounds thicker. How you memorize songs is also important. And lastly, pay attention to what you are making rather than what you are doing.
