  • @Yuadio sabian and zildjian are found by the turkish yes, but the sabian HQ resides in canada and zildjian HQ resides in the u.s. and i thought paiste was swiss? anywho, i think meinl > all. they have such amazing sounding cymbals.

  • He's having lots of fun

  • Could you actually play the bow of the ride?

  • @Yuadio Sabian Cymbals are canadian (:

  • @Yuadio Actually, the cymbals that are hand hammered, such as byzance, are hammered and formed in Turkey and finished in Germany... so, they have the best of both worlds!

  • *1:00

  • anyone notice the mistake at 1:01?

  • @SuperNotNoob the rim instead of drumhead?yes,i noticed)

  • i want those cymbals

  • wow, great sound and drummer! could you please tell me what mics you use to record these videos? they sound amazing. thanks

  • Cool hes a lefty just like me!!

  • @Yuadio paiste is from switzerland

    meinl is from germany

zildjian origanally from turkey but they are now made in america

sabian is technicly from turkey since zildjian is but they never made one cymbal in turkey and they started the company in canada so i would say canada

  • @shemhamforashx4 c'mon man, you really believe that? zildjian cymbals actually say "Turkish cymbals made in usa", also all sabian's are made in usa, so there is really NOTHING Turkish about them.

anyway nice cymbals, but I prefer paiste's over these...

  • @metallifukinca sabian was canada, sorry

  • @shemhamforashx4 WRONG

  • @TheBushpig666 Actually, shemhamforashx4 was right; the higher end models are made in Turkey but finished in Germany.

  • i´ve got a problem.

i broke a few medium crashes although i hit them correctly and the wings nuts were ok too. i hit pretty hard (partly metal-music :P) theres maybe one wrong hit a day .

i want to know if this is normal or if i have to remake my technique.

    please help

  • @karl9864

just dont hit as hard...and sweep the cymbals, you dont need to hit hard to play metal

  • @howycwap when you hit too hard? i´d say i hit as hard as thomas lang usually does. is that too hard?

  • @karl9864

i dont know, ive never been smaked by thomas lang

  • That china......<333

  • cymbals sound great. Snare sounds like poo though

  • I have a 18" thin crash an it sounds amazing!!!

  • China has a great crunch to it

  • Just bought this china on Ebay for 110. Looking forward to hearing it in person sounds perfect on the video

  • this guy is a really average drummer!

  • @SlenithPlenterbone i don't care all he has to do is playing this cymbals in a demo so i have a small idea what they sound like^^

i think i have to choose from this ,the fusion series or the mb10 in person....

  • LEFTY FTW!!

  • I love this series!!! I want these

  • Aah i love this serie so much <3

  • THOSE.. FUCKING.. CRASHES..

    AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! <3

  • which china does you people prefer for accenting a soundcaster custom or a mb10?!

  • I own those hihats, and they are indeed, the BOMB.COM!

  • All it takes is a bit of moongel and this would be the best video on youtube, the cymbals sound great !

  • easily my favorite meinl series lol

  • dude just watch the end of the damn video and you'll see what kind they are.

  • what's the china, hats and ride? i'm really interested in buying them

  • chuck norris nahm einen hammer, einen rohling schlug einmal zu und schuf diese Becken xD

  • These cymbals sound like they were made by God himself lol :D

  • its a ideal for nirvana, pixies, cranberries and beetles song? PLEASE ANSWER ME!!!

  • Why do Meinl cymbals sound so wicked awesome ?! Luv it,...and I thought sabians sounded good.

  • Soundcaster Custom + Soundcaster Fusion = ULTIMATE SETUP

  • i like all these cymbals!

    p.s china is great ))

  • the crashes are incredible...

  • I have the ride, I think it sounds a lot better in person, very simaler to the A Customs.

  • is that a shotgun mic on the ride?

  • God, Meinl make such good chinas!

  • german... always amazing

  • Whats the china, its fucking amazing!

  • woah @ that Hi-hat I love this one and the Mb10 too!

  • what are the exact cymbals your using in this vid?

  • @Evolutioncity it shows a slide of them at the end of the video

  • that snare is annoying

  • Are you playing Tama's Bubinga and Birch? What are the sizes of the drums?

  • @starclassic71 Yea that's what i won't to know too.

  • the crashes sound awesome

  • yeahh leftys :D

  • This is...one of the ALL TIME BEST sounding drum kits. the clean ring of the snare and toms with these crisp but ringy cymbals is complimented remarkably by the skilled, layed back style of Felix Lehrman.

  • @MrDavebag Probably preatty darn good sound technicians and brand new skins that are perfectly tuned :P

  • @MrDavebag can't say i'm a fan of the snare ring. :/

  • hey is tht crash on your right a thin crash?

  • Fuck, the china sounds great!!!

  • That China is a monster..

  • i want these cymbals so bad!

  • minus the ride, i can honestly say those are the best cymbals ive ever heard

  • lovin the china :D

  • 2:18 sounds neat

  • THE RIDE SOUNDS LIKE SHIT

  • WTF is this Kalimist?^^

  • should i get these or zildjian A customs?

  • @reignInBlood18 get A customs, i have 3 of them and they sound very clean, crisp and bright!!, they respond just with a touch of the fingers. Sound caster custom are not bad but A custom are B20 bronce and they are cheaper than these B12 bronze.

  • @jfilizzola

it's not always the metal that makes a difference. mienl make 3 series of B8 bronze, one is beginner and the final b8 series is for pros. so the metals don't change the sound quality, just the sound characteristics.

  • @reignInBlood18 Personally, I say A Customs. I actually ordered a mix of Soundcaster Customs and MB20 cymbals. They were on order until I heard them in person against A Custom Projection cymbals. I knew what I wanted straight away, cancelled my order of Meinls and bought some A Custom Projections! Saved a bunch of money too!

  • I love these cymbals, too bad one ride is around 500 bucks D:

  • ive seen felix make a few videos with this same shirt on, i say we donate one to him :]

  • left handed??? what a freak of nature!!

  • left hand are the best !

  • thats right

sabian is turkish but producing thei cymbals in canada

sorry ma bad english, im german :D

  • He's probably wayyy beyond your level...

Watch his Byzance Brilliant or Byzance Dark demos. He plays much more technical.

  • let's see your drum video

  • @basicalyimsam

    Basic Youtube idiot.

  • wiirlvenit.. basic idiotic cunt :)

  • @basicalyimsam

... Exactly what I expected another dumbass troll....

  • @basicalyimsam is that a joke?

  • have you seen the rest of his meinl videos?

  • anyone else notice that he uses like 10 different brands of microphones?????

  • brands or types?

  • Only ones I can clearly make out is SM57 on the snare, Audix D2/4 on the toms and AKG c414 on the hats. What can you see?

  • i love the clear bright sound of these and paistes, i find sabians and zildians are too dark

  • exactly...well dark? idk but yeah they are different than meinl and paiste

  • Comment removed

  • the crash sounds so clean, yeah

    love it!

  • Thank you for this vid

  • but the ride doesnt sound that amazing...crashes china and high hat sound amazing

  • wow they sound fucking amazing

  • im thinkin about gettin these cymbals. and idk why but i really like your style of playing, i mean, its no daniel adair or mike portnoy, but it just seems like the type of drumming that you just wanna lay back and smoke a big one too. haha

  • Do these look like B8 cymbals? I know that they're made of B12, but in the vid, they give off the reddish color of B8's.

  • the soundcaster custom are like Zildjian A custom..

  • only cheaper... and better :P

  • i thought all cast meinls were made from B20? not B12

and its very rare to find any top end cymbals made with B8 anyway.

  • only the mb20 and byzance series are made from b20. The soundcaster series, both fusion and custom are b12, and the mb10 and mb8s are self explanatory. Alot of paistes cymbals are b8, the 2002s are, and alot of there original discontinued lines were. The alphas are aswell

  • yeah sorry! i knew that about meinls already, god knows what i was thinking. didnt realise that about paiste though thanks! although i suppose it depends on your definition of 'top end'. being a sabian guy i regard it as most b20 cast and hammered cymbals (as obviously AA, AAX, HH and HHX fall into this)

  • @dave90mckeague AA's sound great, but they cost alot ;(

  • not too keen on AA's personally. prefer HHX/AAX which is why i have these 2 series almost exclusively. and the price thing is a problem we must all face!!!

  • yeah...at one time i liked sabian and zildjian but, for me, they are too dark for the type stuff i play...meinl and paiste do it for me...still havent quite decided what brand i am going use tho

  • @dave90mckeague Look at Paiste! all there cymbals are b8 :)

  • well alot of them are, but their signature range is made from their 2patented signature bronze" which most definetely wont be b8. twenty is also made from b20

  • @dave90mckeague there signature bronze is b8, pretty much, looks so colour wise :O

  • the high hats sound great, but the ride rings too much!

  • I agree, the snare sounds great. Most people don't realize that ring gives character and that when playing with a full band the ring will just project the sound and probably get lost in the mix. Quit dampening your snares!

  • @inimicalODDITY i agree, if you have to muffle your drum for it to sound good, you need to tune it better, hitting in the center or not makes a huge difference on ring too

  • @inimicalODDITY i disagree. some people just like muted snares. and if you play it right everyone will hear it mixed in with the band

  • @canadahockeyteen well, that's true. but, depending how loud the band plays, a snare may sound muffled naturally. say for instance someone plays in a ultra loud metal band and their snare is really ringy. well, unless the snare is mic'd, it's gonna sound like a muted snare to the audience. but i suppose some people want their snares to sound boxy. i don't know, it's about preference.

  • @inimicalODDITY very true! when i first started i used to put those o rings on my snare and go through hoops to get rid of snare buzz but after learning how to tune i realized that i was just choking it and now ive learned to love my snares ring

  • @stover81291 same here :D

  • @inimicalODDITY preach preach!!!

  • @inimicalODDITY dude exactly!

  • @inimicalODDITY

    AMEN!

  • @inimicalODDITY Actually, that totally depends on the style of music, and also amount of res. If i play metal i dampen the life out of my snare, if its a church gig, i 1/2 that. And if you record, the res sounds Super kinky.

  • @Katana99301 Ehh. I personally hate the way a really dampened snare drum sounds. If I really want/need a snare to be without ring, I either tune it for as long as it takes to get most (if not all) of the the ring out while retaining volume, or I use a snare head that takes much of the ring out without having to dampen; such as the Remo Control Sound.

  • why is everyone complaining about the ring on his snare... there is hardly any ring on it! it sounds great!

  • Because people now-a-days tend to like their shit muffled, which sounds like shit. You're right bro his snare sounds amazing. Enjoy the damn video guys, if you don't like part of it, keep your comments to yourself.

  • They´re so sexy

  • omg the riging when u hit ur snare is killing me!!! nice cymbals though! im a lefty too and i just set up my drumset the way u have it and i like im just wondering if there is any point to it. are there advantages for playing like that?

  • it doesnt matter what he recommends. its what you like

they have a vid. for both series and each has its pros and cons

  • awesome drum mix.

  • are the soundcasters or MB10s better ? And which is more durable ? I break cymbals real quick so i need which ever is more durable

  • in your case i would go either meinl or sabian because both brands offer a free 2year warranty, soundcasters are higher quality, they're brighter imo.

  • if you break cymbals really easy then you might want to work on your technique

thats ussually the reason for people breaking cymbals

  • the soundcaster customs tend to be thinner, and a bit glassier, there more kind of specific to rock and metal, while the mb10s are more general

  • whats a better quality cymbal? mb10 or soundcaster?

  • Neither is better its all about sound but price wise Soundcasters is is above Mb10 and below Byzance but I have a cymbal from both series and I prefer my soundcaster because its a glassy beast

  • i hate how i can never hear the ride cymbal on these videos. He only plays the bell of them.

  • what is the zildjian series that would sound close to soundcaster custom? avedis? a custom? z custom?

  • A Custom

  • a custom

  • a custom

  • i really like the china

  • meinl owns

  • well...MEINL R BADD ASS CYMBALS!!

  • Zildjoan are good cymbals for like rock and stuff but i think meinl and paiste are the best for metal :P

  • anarcy777 i agree with you. These sound really good. Its just that thses people are use to gay sabian or zildjian. But dont get me wrong i love zildjian!!!! I use lik 3 diffrnt types of cymblas. meinl, zildjian, and paiste amazing combo

  • i like the byzance better...

    and the rockin generation x

    woot!!!

  • You know these cymbals aren't as expensive as you would think. And that's why I love Meinl. Compared to Zildjian these are a steal!

  • hang on, ur saying that these are shit. is there somthing wrong with your speakers, these are amazing, and compared to zildjian there in a league of there own

  • that must be why the best drummers in the world endorse meinl- oh wait no vinnie, gadd and countless others use zildjian

  • when u say vinnie as in vinnie paul, then ur wrong, he uses sabian

  • LMAO vinnie colauita you tool

as if i would even place vinnie paul in the same catagory as steve gadd! ahahahahahahah

    FAIL

  • well im sorry that i dont know every drummer in the world, oh if you check somthing, when was the last time meinl lost an artist, but yet zildjian are losing them daily to all the other companys

  • so i dont know every drummer in the world so what. and also,iv been playing 4 about 7 years and i used to use zildjian when i 1st started, and 1 they last about a week 2 there overpriced and 3 there is very little variation between each cymbal, 4 example the new z3s sound almost exactly the same to the z customs, which in turn sounded lik a customs

  • hahaha ive only been playing 8 years, and i have just completed my degree in music

    1) if you managed to break z customs in a week then you have serious technique issues, 2) theyre hardly any different in price to sabian or paiste in fact paiste are far more expensive, 3) the fact you were using z customs shows you obviously have no musical taste- each cymbal is massively different!

and the fact youve been playing 7 years and still havent heard of vinnie colauita frankly baffles me!

  • 1) i dont have technique issue as i havent had to replace or fix any of my meinl cymbals 2) i drum 4 fun, so i only look 4 drummers to find new techniques, and not to idealise each one as a god.3) i stoped using z cusotms about 3 years ago, 4) i used a customs as well 5) i obviously have msical taste or i wouldent have gone with meinl cymbals

  • 1) clearly you do if you broke z customs

    2) if you cant get inspiration off vinnie then you really have lost the plot, that is the only reason i rate him so highly- as do most other drummers

    3) your arguement is pointless anyway if you prefer meinl then fine, but saying zildjian are shit is clearly wrong otherwise they wouldnt be the most popular cymbal company!

  • i never said they were shit, u were the one who said meinl were shit, thats why i started this agument, because u were being very closed minded

  • no i didnt, i said i prefer zildjian, you came to the conclusion i said they were shit- read my old comments i never said they were shit

  • i just want to say that im still using my zht ziljians for about one year and a half so i dont know what the heck you did to your cymbals so they last 1 week

  • i only ever use them on proformances and they always crack or in one case bend out of shape

  • vin sucks

  • LMAO

  • Zildjian can blow their cymbals out there ass, when compared to the #1 in the world cymbal brand that is the amazing meinls, zildjian begins to suck their own cocks. Everything about meinl wins, price quality, sound, look, and durability. Zildjian can shove that up their over-priced ass'

  • what are you basing this on?? there are far more professional drummers that use zildjian than meinl suggesting they are infact a better cymbal; if vinnie colaiuta, steve gadd, pete riley, bob armstrong, john blackwell, greg bisonette and countless others use zildjian, then thats a pretty good indication they must be good

  • News flash asshole, most of them use zildjian because they are sponsored by them, they could care less about the cymbal, they get them for free and are paid to claim they are good. A good cymbal brand makes good cymbals, they dont say they are good just because they have great drummers using their cymbals...u fail

  • so zildjian cant be that great if the only reason they supporting them is for money

  • you absolute retard, of course they are endorsed by the company- you dont think they can pick and choose any cymbal company they want?

vinnie co-created the A custom range as did akira jimbo with the K custom hybrids, you absolute fucking idiot of the course it means they like them- they could get endorsed by any cymbal company in the world, but cleary they have chosen zildjian! Fail for suggesting my comment was a FAIL ahahahaha

  • i dont really lik the bell on the ride, a little to empty for me, but over all, meinl is the best cymbal company in the world

  • I'm definitely getting the hi hats for this series! they sound so crisp and light

  • the sound of the kid is amazing

  • i wish i had soundcasters

  • I have a 18" Powerful Crash ... and it sounds great, I love it!!! =)

  • i brought a 18 " mcs crash ride, and hoped that i was lucky, actually it sounds good as crash. but, its bad as ride, the bell sucks

  • The MCS series suck in general in my opinion. xD

But the Soundcasters (at least the crashes) does sound like getting 100 orgasms at one time ... xD

  • i love soundcasters, both the soundcaster custom and fusions! so nice

  • omf i love the sound of that kit!! including cymals :)

  • Nice nice ! Im trying just to learn and play that at the momemt, yeah Im a n00b. If only I could get a strait rythm going and not go into Animal metal all the time I would be glad lol
