  • nice red vinyl and song too.

  • PJ MY ONE FAVORITE IS DION

  • Thanks PJ

  • check out trying by the paramonts from the bronx

  • I love that record. I guess "Trying" by The Hilltoppers was popular in The Bronx because another group from The Bronx recorded that - The Dials

  • did they do wizard of love?

  • Although I previously thought so, from what people have been saying these are two different groups.

  • @PJDooWop The Lydells that did the Wizard of Love are from West Philly

  • PJ,These Lydells are not from Philly, they are from Chicago, what happened is a local disc Jockey, here in Philly,Jerry Blavat, played it so much, everyone thought it was the Philly, and you know how thing mushroom

  • @eddie7792 If these guys are not from Philly ,why was it recorded on Lost Nite a Philly label?

  • Wow This Happend To Me Back In The Day In High School ..Thanks For The Great Gem PJ Your The Man

  • Yeah Jerry Blavet played it a lot. Great song

  • Wonderful -- Wonderful -- Wonderful !!!

Thanks so much for posting this.

The memories this triggers just come flooding back : )

Takes one back to a time when life was simple and love was fresh & new. Just Great !!!!

  • 'There goes the guy who stole all my dreams...."

I danced to this hundreds of times at all the Jerry Blavat dances!

    Thanks, PJ!..............Jan

  • Great song! Love the label too with small lettering for Lost Night and red wax at that! Wow! Such a great copy of this record to own! Thanks for letting me see it and hear it PJ!

  • Block print Lost Nites with no lamp post are pretty rare. I think these were only pressed up until 63

  • @PJDooWop

Lost Nite Records were reissues of the originals, and while they may be rarer, I would think would not be worth more than than the original issues.

  • Most Lost Nites are reissues, but not all. A great example is "Hey Girl" by The Perfections. "Now" by the Vel-Tones is another that apparently came out on Lost Nite first, although the copy that's valued the highest is on the very rare Zara label. I don't really collect reissues so Lost Nites are few and far between in my collection.

  • I'm learning many new things, blue wax, red wax. Neat. Love the Lydells.

  • I have seen red, blue, green, orange, clear, tan, brown, purple, white and just about any color you can imagine. My favorite is splash wax which is a few colors randomly mixed together.

  • Ooooo, this is sweeeet!!

  • This is classic doo wop all the way

  • This sounds like something the StingRays should sing................Skip

  • Mention it to them.. It would go over big if they ever did a Philly gig

  • great song here

  • Yes it is.. Thank you
