  • i dont no wat i wanna be im sooooooooooooooo confused fashion designer doctor or vet well no 2 fashion obviously

  • hey i have a question. I dont want to operate on the animals, i just want to help them recover by working with them. Would that job still be called a veterinarian or would it be called something else like a type of nurse or something??

  • @urztruely1 You would be considered a Veterinary Assistant or Technician. They look after the animals recovering from surgery, doing lab work, x-rays and looking after their general care. Basically a nurse for animals!

  • @urztruely1 It's called Veterinary assissantant; I think. I am pretty sure it is, but not 100% positive.

  • I'm going to be a vet. That's what I have always wanted and that is what I will do.

  • I wonder the percentage of people who want to be a vet when they are younger actually continue to pursue that dream..

  • CAN'T WAIT , :3 i wanna start helping animal's D:

  • @8241143dd so do i its dead nice

  • @iiQuickScop3xx What?

  • hey im 15 and i really wan to become a vet. i kno that its a long way from now. it takes a long time but im gunna ry my best.

  • @itube224 I'm 16, and considering veterinary medicine too. You posted a year ago, do you still feel the same?

  • @jesusjimenezatPOTCO When you become a vet you still have to interact with people (infact its a major part of it), as they will be bringing their pets in and you will have to ask them questions about what is different/wrong or try and calm them in an emergancy situation.

  • do you have to deal with rats, or can you be just a dog vet?

  • @mi805 You can specilize with a certian animal (at SASH an emergancy animal hospital in sydney australia they have a feline specialist) but i am sure that you still have to treat any animals that need to be treated and you would probably specilize after a few years of experience in a general practice.

  • @mi805 You'd usually deal with most common house hold pets, rodents included; ocassionally, livestock. If you feel squimish working with rodents, and other things like reptiles; it might not work out for you. Being a vet takes serious ambition. There are only 28 collages in the U.S.A (I'm assuming you live in the U.S. too?) that teach vets, and only 2,5000 students at most are accepted each year. Having a problem with dealing with rats might not benifit your chances in bing one of the 2,500.

  • hey im 11 and i wanna be a vet :D

    animals are beautiful!

  • hey, im 13 and i would LOVE To be a vet(:

  • hello i am from india and i am 16 year's old i really need some advice what test's must 1 take if he wants to study abroad for example the U.S ?i really need all the assistance i can get .(i also want to become a vet )

  • @visheshdhillon you should talk to the universities in america about their requirements for overseas students.

  • @visheshdhillon If you want to study abroad here in the U.S., I can tell you that it takes 8 years of schooling to become a vet if you get accepted in a school. 4 years getting your bacholers, and 4 in vet school.

  • I really messed up my first year of college, but i am doing great now and studying 3-4 hours a day for math and science and am feel positive and great about my self, my grades are improving and i have over 600 hours of experience in the Veterinarian hospitals, i work there every summer, been doing it since i was 12, and i am 19 now. I can't wait to do great and apply to all of the vet schools out there! My back up plan is a PhD in Biology!! I will be extremely happy with both! Good luck to u all

  • good for you clutz lol

  • aaahhhh.....a black veterinarian! It's nice to see some color in the profession I plan on entering in 7-8 years :)

  • Hmm, to be honest, you people shouldn't worry about becoming a vet, because at least you know now how much dedication is involved and start putting in the effort before you sit all your major exams.

  • i wanna become a vet but im only 14.

  • study hard in school especially biology, chemistry and math. then study hard in college. then do really well on your exams...becuause there are less vet schools then medical schools. so get good grades, and good luck =]
