Most taliban soldiers are good.. they are just trying to survive the onslaught of a very advanced military. American soldiers on the other hand are happily participating in a preemptive war every now and then. And the american economy is reaping its benefits. sorry can't agree with you on this one.
your right, I think some of these solders are just looking toward the military for "a easy way out". They don't realize that it is far from easy and the cause may be the very thing that they are against. Ultimately Allah will be the final judge.
I hurt for my Muslim bro and sis over there dieing, and I feel sorry for the people that get in the military thinking they are doing the right thing.
The American government and those who dictate what American "interests" are, they are the ones who are evil. i.e lobbyist, other governments, corporations...etc etc.
American solder are people who support the US policies against Muslim countries, and if they are not then they can simply prove so by dropping out of US military.
I personally support Taliban because they are fighting against occupying forces. And i support Taliban Pakistan because the oppose the Pakistani policies in preferring US over their Muslim brothers in Afghanistan.
And if you think that the military is innocent then why enter the Afghani people's houses?
Your question is too general, can't be answered in general. So, here's A point. In every country there's the controller, either gov or military, or any powerful group (they have money, followers). When they do bad/good things, they use the name of their country. Now, I learned some America history, I can decide which group was/is/willbe "controlling" America in some policies.
The mason, Pearl Harbor, Moon Hoax, JFK assassination, ae911truth[dot]org. These don't represent most American citizen.
This is your first video with which I do not agree with.
If the same American army you're defending attacks your home, will you say the same, ah! poor guys they do what they're told to, they've no say, and all.
One cannot be neutral between good and evil. Oppression = evil and America (The Oppressor of Iraq and Afghanistan) = evil.
We don't hate America, but we do hate it's government and it's policies, which even most Americans hate btw.
Muslims say American "government" is evil based on what we see in our countries, children and women bombed everyday, and Americans think Muslims are evil based on what fox news feeds them.
America is just a concept- it's not a tangible being with a conscience, so it can't be good or bad. what we mean is Is the American Government good or bad, because they're really the driving force of what "America" is in the eyes of others. And in regards to war, there are no good guys. We may fight thinking it's for a cause or what not but in the end both sides are really just killing thousands for another intangible, non-living concept called victory.
I think he means that a lot of soldiers sign up for the army to get them through college, etc. but then if something comes up, they HAVE to go, it's not necessarily that they support or want to. And in war, people get drafted. If all the soldiers are exhausted, the common men end up going. I don't believe your statement is fair though, on many levels. because things aren't ever black and white, and if some people vote for certain things, it doesn't mean the whole country wanted it.
American soldiers are just as innocent and as suffering as Iragies.
They are victims as well, victims of an unjust war.
But they are not the decision maker there is no reason to hate them.

oops, in this cycle we are all to blame........
to change things ( at least from muslim stand point) is to rise above this cycle to bring about peace......
It is sunnah to choose the easier route in all things, according to Mohamad (SAW). Why is perpetuating a vilonce cycle easier???? ask yourselfs that?
Peace is easier....Peace starts in us, with mercy and forgiveness and understanding. That is easier.

the problem is conflict in culture....
between america (1) + cultural islam (2)+ Ignorance all arounyd(3) = a big stikin cycle of perpetual violence and victumisation.
In shack spear( romeo and Juliet) the narater who is the state athority says.....ALL are Punished!
I think we can apply that to this real life senerio.

We're not saying American solders are monkeys.
It is simple logic, if the solder is your weapon we simply cut him off.
Muslims refuse the US help. It is as simple as that: A friend if my enemy is my enemy.

i don't think you should ask canadians that question. you might not like the answer you get. we see America as a bully on the playground.
but it isn't all bad. there is lots of good in America and lots of bad
funny fact. the lowest crime rate city in America is higher than the highest crime rate city in Canada

The problem is him confusing between citizens and solders.
He is not aware that the only target is the enemy solder according to our faith.

Some Americans have done really horrible things, but they aren't all evil. Calling everyone from a certain country evil is prejudice in my mind.

Asking for Canadians' take on America is like asking Indonesians' take on Malaysia.
Neighbours are the most likely to have quarrel, like two brothers would argue more then two acquintances.
I'm sure some Canadians would not even care about their southern neighbour and say "I don't care ABOOT America."
