That's what my coach said, too, though he didn't mean when you were going straight-on. Most tackles won't be straight-on hits, but angled, so he meant put your face mask there after you've made contact.

2.if you see a blocker, and you know there is more speedy, DB's behind you, take out that blocker, a DB can play the cut better, and linebackers are powerful, and can take out a FB
