@tosheatower I think it was because they wanted to potray her as the smart one I assume as though "smart girls"cannot look sexy and wear bikinis or maybe shedidnt want to,I often thought they tried to downplay the sexy clothes later as the show wasnt taken serious to start with.

The Angels were the biggest stars ever, the women were all gorgeous, the shows were first rate. The generation of today will never understand the power this show had & the icons that were made from this show. Farrah was an over night household name & Jaclyn & Kate were just as amazing. Each lady went on to great careers. Farrah is the #1 sex symbol of all time and Jaclyn - what an amazing classic hollywood beauty she is.

Farrah was already a star from the poster and #1 sex symbol ever is tough to say but she's top 5 no question with Marilyn, Betty, Crawford etc.

And yeah, few shows have grabbed pop culture like this, Seinfeld, American Idol come to mind along with MASH and maybe the cosby show.
