You have to remember this buildings not solid concrete inside, there's a lot of space, partitioned walls probably made of wood panels, mdf and cement...and finally windows the other side.

The only thing stopping the plane going all the way through were the wings impacting with the outside of the building and possibly the elavator shaft.
