you do realize that the whole point of adding boost to an engine is to artificially increase displacement. Chevy just does it the old fashioned way which has advantages such as more low end torque. Now put a turbo on a v-8 and see what happens!

The car had all NHRA safty cvertifications to run to 8.50. the 10 point cage is certified (1st C5 to be certed) and all scatter shields and Tranny shield. I have a competition Lic and all required safety equipment. I race at one of the stictest NHRA tracks in the country (Englishtown NJ) and they do a complet safety tech each time I race.

My car does have all the front and rear safety support bumpers unlike other "Street Vettes". All the power windows, front headlights, brake lights, blinkers, horn, doors and speedometers work perfectly. the car runs on 93 octane on the street and will pass all sound ristrictions.

However, the car is not registered or insured right now. As with other "supposed street vettes", mine does not have cats so it would fail NJ state inspection.

Exhaust gases aren't as hot down stream in the Exhaust system, won't heat up the air as much. So the lower Boost level will have a more dense Air charge then a turbo with a Higher Boost level mounted closer to the Header. Now, Yes Heat from the Exhaust gases is what drives a turbo, but theres still plenty of it down stream in the exhaust system. Enough to make it to the Desired boost level and have a more dense air charge. So the best of both worlds. Personally I like Superchargers better though
