Most of the people are not familiar with this situations. But we need to be prepared just in case of something mayor. We never think we can have emergencies in our own home. We live so secure, in abundancy of food and things the word "needs" is not familiar for us. Most people don't know how valuable a bottle of drinkable water can be or simply wearing clean clothes or having a place where to sleep or hot food to eat. We are as vulnerable as everybody else. We need to be well informed.

I agree with BabySabDootch, I live in southern California and we just had 5.4 about a week ago that wasn't too deep and it didn't even scare my cat. Most of the people are not familiar with this situations. But we need to be prepared just in case of something mayor. We never think we can have emergencies in our own home. We live so secure, in abundancy of food and things the word "needs" is not familiar for us. Most people don't know how valuable a bottle of drinkable water can be or simply wearing clean clothes or having a place where to sleep or hot food to eat. We are as vulnerable as everybody else. We need to be well informed.

I agree with BabySabDootch, I live in southern California and we just had 5.4 about a week ago that wasn't too deep and it didn't even scare my cat. I personally think it would take a 6.5 or so to actually toss anyone from their bed. I think the people that fell out of bed were going to do that regardless of this quake. Get a grip people. Now that I think about it maybe the person that fell out of bed caused this and didn't realize it. As far as explosions go, I make those all the time, lol.
